KOTD: Overdue Chinese New Year nails.

This post is sooo overdue it's embarassing! Chinese New Year was freaking one whole month ago! I am a naughty procrastinator D:

Being the manicure genius that I am (eiseh!), I've already come up with the ideas of what kind of nails I'm gonna do this March holidays. So excited, busy harvesting nails now (inside joke)! I've grown quite attached to my "square-shaped" nails that Jia finds so repulsive. I found it repulsive at first too okay! But you get used to it. And then it grows on you.

Like a lot of other things in life, ironically.

My nails for the first few days of CNY were actually really simple. I'm sorry if you feel disappointed!

Then for CNY concert and Maria's open house weekend, I did something in red and silver with blings and glitter for that extra kua zhang factor!

I've planned 3 different pink-themed (suck it, pink-haters! :D) Konadicures for the holidays. I just love mixing styles and blinging it up cause I feel like "normal" Konadicures are too easy for me already. I prefer stuff that's more advanced and challenging!

Gonna test it out as soon as I publish this post. Someone please reassure me that there's no assembly tomorrow! My nails are well on their way to being a less-shitty length and I will not be thwarted on the last day of school. I will not!

I dunno about photos though. My dad took my digital camera with him to India to take photos of my sister's graduation ceremony and the Taj Mahal, so I'm gonna be blissfully thick-skinned and blatantly start begging.

DOES ANYONE WANNA BE KIND ENOUGH TO LEND ME THEIR CAMERA FOR A DAY OR TWO PWEETY PWEASE?? 0=)

I planned to use my canggih webcam but f my life x2, the photo-taking gods are all ganging up against me, its software Logitech Quickcam was removed from my laptop during the reformatting in December :(

More reasons to hate my lao yia laptop! I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to the day I get a brand-spanking new laptop and super canggih semi-pro digital camera in hues of pink! Have I told you that that's one of my goals in life? To upgrade myself to all fully pink belongings!

Pink laptop, pink mouse, pink phone, pink earphones, pink household appliances, pink CAR someday... Even pink business suits to wear to court when I'm a bigshot lawyer! Obviously kidding about the bigshot part. I'd honestly rather be a rich tai tai? But both of those are topics for another day :)

Excuses for not blogging.

My first blog post for March. Omg, so fail right!! I'm so sorry to any of you who've been visiting my blog lately, only to be disappointed because there were no new posts.

Well, between 1st Assessment Tests (more about that some other day) and finishing up school coursework, writing the script for the CHMS Drama Festival play with Jan, Alisa and Maria, dancing in this year's Broadway-themed Talentine with friends, our Character Building "Self-Portrait" portfolio project, opening a stall with friends in next week's Entrepreneurship Fair (I've since pulled out cause my mummy isn't happy with the B$60+ upfront capital cost), etc etc, the list goes on...

I've just been stretched really, really thin since the beginning of the month, and haven't had very much time online either. This 3-day weekend represents a tiny little break. But not to worry, holidays are coming soon!

During which we Form 5's will of course have extra classes. Just kill me! Okay, admittedly, I don't really have anything to blog about? I'm the type of person who plans out my blog posts properly. OCD? You guessed right. Control issues? You also guessed right! I have something planned for tomorrow though!

So, in the meantime, some photos of me from last month lifted off Jia Yee's Facebook, for those who haven't seen.

St. Andrew's School's first ever Chinese New Year concert organized by the Parent Teacher Association (Mandy's papa!)! It was mad awesome, everyone had so much fun and we lost our voices singing and shouting and cheering. Everybody had the dong dong chiang spirit!
Attempted to wear something red-ish?

My first and one and only photo with Sexy Beast! Shall treasure it forever and crop Maria out! LOL.

Maria's Chinese New Year open house! The one I looked forward to for so long. It did not disappoint!
My glittery striped thigh socks a.k.a. hooker stockings. They're not hooker-y at all please!

Rose among thorns. But omg, why are Aaron Chong, Kelvin Foong and Nikki all so cute here?!?

Peter Pan (Jia Yee) is taking me (Wendy) up, up and away to Never Never Land! Wtf, check out my gravity-defying hair!

Aaron Chong!!! He looks like a stoner here. Bwahahahaha!

Konad-ed and blinged my nails just for that weekend. Will blog about that tomorrow :)

It was the best Chinese New Year weekend ever! This year's Chinese New Year was definitely the most lau juak that I've ever had in Brunei thanks to both those things! Sad that it's probably my last CNY in Brunei though.

I'm starting to realize that my photos with this blog layout are actually pretty teeny :( I have to get to work changing my blog layout soon, and I'm kind of considering switching to the old Blogger HTML layout. Whereby I can design the entire layout and write the codes all by myself. Sounds like a truckload of work though and you know how lazy I am!

Xin nian kuai le and Happy V-day!

February 14th is finally here! To all my Chinese friends and readers, wherever you are...

Gong Xi Fa Cai!
Ang pau na lai ;)

Hope you guys have a happy CNY with your ang paus and kams and kuacis and fireworks and family and gambling and beer! :D

It's the year of the Tiger! Rawr!

You can have your pick between Tigger, Winnie the Pooh's friend...

Or Tony the Tiger, the Kellogg's Frosties cereal mascot, lol!

I'm having a super boring and mundane Chinese New Year this year :( While my friends are in Malaysia visiting relatives and collecting $$$ ang paus, I'm stuck here at home and gonna rot my bum off for the next 2 days.

Last year's Chinese New Year was fun, we had the whole family crammed into the house. I realized that this is the last CNY that I'm going to be spending in Brunei. Next year I get to go visiting every single tiny, obscure, unknown 4th relative!! LOL!

And best of all, I'll be able to drive the family! Okay fine, that's actually really unlikely, cause my dad always drives no matter what. And the kids still get stuck in the backseat no matter how old we are.

The only thing I'm looking forward to this CNY is Maria's Chinese New Year potluck party! You'd better confirm it!! But I know I'm going to get scolded for mentioning it here 0=)

Emmefin cute CNY cupcakes!

I think white bulangsai's (or barongsai, whatever) are the chioest things ever!

And haha, poor St. Valentine's Day is overshadowed by CNY this year. Which is good!! Valentine's Day is so biased to loving couples while leaving all of us singletons out in the cold. Mean holiday!

But nonetheless...

Now back to my chu yi KFC lunch! LOL. It sounds mad pathetic but at least it's super yummy :)
