"The Handmaid's Tale" - Margaret Atwood - 1985

Well, I finally finished it. And it only took me a week and a half...(oh, and five years).

Attack of the PMS monster.

It's that time of the month again and I think I would've have chi sat-ed already if not for PPStream, Sims 3 (YES, I HAS IT!!!) and my insanely luverly computer. Super fast, no lagging, nice huge screen and SUPPORTS SIMS 3 AND PPSTREAM!! Mwaks! Mommy, can I bring it home with me to Brunei?? 0=)

Talking about Brunei, I'm missing Raya!! No open houses, rendang, ketupat, mengeratkan hubungan sillaturahim and of course, not forgetting, green packets :(:( BOOHOOO!!! This holiday actually kinda sucks la, if you really think about it. Sigh.

Selamat Hari Raya, to my Muslim friends, and even the Cina ones who are there to celebrate it with them as well. Wish I could be there!

I have photos of the boring drive from KL up to Penang. But first...

Popped into Giant Kota Damansara just before the roadtrip to buy lunch at KFC and passed the Summit (!!!) store. And OMG it's huge!!! So many nice shoes that Brunei doesn't have. They had the same 50% off Hari Raya sale... even that exact same green sign!! I thought I was gonna die right there on the spot when I had to rush myself past it, because I knew if I went in, I would never resurface.

Then went to KFC and found out that BBQ Cheezy Meltz is temporarily discontinued until 27/09... I'M NOT GONNA GET TO EAT IT ANYMORE THIS TRIP!! Waaaaaahhh!!! Only that once in KL! :'( You know how heartbreaking this is?? It'ss like a slice of heaven. Had to buy Cheezy Chickaroni instead.

Photos I took, that is, before my phone battery died and I was forced to fall asleep squishing Bob instead. Let me introduce you to Bob, our very old car doggie! I think I might've accidentally drooled on him...

My Cheezy Chickaroni lunch. My sister's car doesn't have the center seatback pull-down thingy (okay, bad explanation, I know) to put food so I had to use Bob as a table.

Photobucket
I left the meatballs for last. I took my time eating the macaroni and it was really cold by then. Bob was like falling through my legs already.

Photobucket
Finally finished eating after one hour.

Photobucket
Shoes!

Photobucket
Traffic jam on the highway, everyone was rushing to balik kampung for Raya.

Photobucket
My slightly-less-yummy-because-it-was-cold-but-still-yummy cheezy wedges.

Time for lots of gloomy weather photos to match my mood! It was raining the entire time and there were a lot of weird dark cloud formations around the mountains.

Kawasan rehat Tapah, my favourite rest stop! It's huge and has a KFC, Baskin Robbins and Dunkin' Donuts!! But we didn't stop there 'cause there were a bajillion balik-kampungers there.

Photobucket
I swear to God that's a waterfall right there!! Anyone who has ever travelled on the North-South highway between KL and Penang will know this waterfall :D

I've been super addicted to Chick vs Dick lately! It's so much nicer than Xiaxue's Guide to Life and Kay kay and Paul are so damn hilarious!! I've watched all 45 episodes in just 2 days.

The very first episode: The Cinammon Challenge.

Photobucket
I finished Grey's Anatomy season 5 already, most freaking stunning and unexpected finale ever! I cried like an idiot. Dying of anticipation for season 6.

Photobucket
So now I'm catching up on some good ol' Smallville season 8. I sing along to the opening song, as I've always done, every episode, for the past 8 seasons.

I want to go out tomorrow to buy things! I calculated the prices of the things I want and it comes to a grand very puny total of only RM250! Satisfied at how small the number is, but I feel so restricted. I'm a shopaholic, and shopaholics need to spend shop!

Last time I used to easily be able spend up to RM1000 per trip to Malaysia! This is a huge improvement already okay... one-quarter only.

And correction: I want a baking + Konad + Bones + Twister + poker gambling (now I really need to go dig out my Monopoly to find the fake money) sleepover!! :D:D Who wants?? *widens eyes at Maria and Jia Yee* Yes, yes?? I see extremely fun times in my future!

P/S: Who wants to give me my 5000th hit? ;) After 1 entire year and 67 posts! No, it's not pathetic, it's because I kept taking huge "breaks" from blogging... most memorably, my 6 month abandonment hiatus from January to June and my 3 month hiatus from July to September.

If I had a dime for every time somebody asked me why I wasn't blogging or told me blog, I'd be rich by now! Oh, how I wish...

It's a beautiful day for a Konadicure.

But first, it's always a beautiful day for baby photos! Don't you agree? Or is it morally wrong to make fun of newborn babies? :D Well, I do have very few morals, so... let the fun begin!

Photobucket
My mom was happily singing Twinkle, twinkle little star to her. I guess she didn't like it very much.

Photobucket
Inspired to do this by Maria!

Photobucket
A shoutout to all the ex-Barney watchers who still love him and despise the Barney-haters of the world!!!

Photobucket
I say this one all the time! I realize Ava wasn't even born yet when MJ died, but whatevs.

Photobucket
My little niece, the conehead :D See how she's giving me the sideways glare? So young, and already so talented.

Photobucket
More changing table adventures.

I'm so going to show Ava these photos one day when she grows up! I'll probably be boring old adult "Sar Ee" by then. Or as I like to put it: Stella Chai, top attorney at law, country club socialite and Mrs Very Rich Husband! Lol, my goals in life pretty shallow loh! Get used to it.

Photobucket
The mini armada of lucky nail polishes that were chosen to accompany me on holiday!

Photobucket
Making sample swatches of my nail polishes cause I forgot to bring along my original swatch card.

Photobucket
Completed swatch of 14 nail polishes that I brought, minus 2 - top coat and one bottle whose cap I couldn't for the life of me open :(

Experimental stage.

Photobucket
Nails with just regular normal polish only... bleh, so plain!

Photobucket

Photobucket
But not for long!

Photobucket
A close-up.

Experimental stage 2.0.

Photobucket
My underdeveloped prefrontal cortex is rearing its ugly head -- I can't choose!

Actual Konadicure.

Crafty tools of the trade.

The finished product! (I try out accent nails.)

The Konad image plates I used are m57 and m63.

I don't really like this particular Konadicure! The end results look nothing like what I imagined. I'll probably change it soon. Or who knows, maybe it'll grow on me. Hopefully.

It may not even last long... my top coat was finishing and very thickened. Reminder to self: need moar topcoat! For a day-long nail job, it's surprisingly shitty :(

I get my inspirations from nail blogs that specialize in Konad and nail art like Getcha Nails Did, KONADomania, Fab Ur Nails, Scrangie, KonADDICT, Sasse's Stamping Stampede, The Nail Phile and locally, Pretty Beautiful.

I want a Konad + baking + Bones sleepover ASAP!!! Who wants to do with me?? OMG I KNOW!! *is struck with sudden inspiration* We shall do it at Empire in November!!! *widens eyes at Jia Yee* But shiiiaaat, at Empire how to bake?!

Oh, the dilemmas of my life :D

P/S: In Penang already and time to play The Sims 3 at long, long, LOOONG last! More about that tomorrow :)
