Birthday wishes and the surprise Christmas gift.

Today, somebody special goes from being a teenager, to turning into an adult. She's fab, fierce and my significant other in the Mars world, through ups and downs, thick and thin and even when I'm seldom around.

I've known her for more than 2 years now (hard to believe how time flies), so much has happened, and she's a wonderful friend and partner in war.

To Jai/Elliz/I'm no longer sure what to call you anymore these days...

As if being a great friend isn't enough, look what arrived at my condo for me on Christmas Eve! I was innocently watching Dollhouse when my mom received a phonecall saying a PosLaju package had arrived. My This Is War CD from Jai.

Of course, I was delighted. I'd been waiting to hear 30 Seconds To Mars' new album since December 8th, but it's failed to be available in Penang. Speedy and Borders both drew blanks (bastards) and Tower Records had closed down (FML!).

And then Jai very kindly offered to help me buy This Is War in KL and post it to me.

Was very puzzled as to how to open it, so in the end I just snipped off the top of the brown paper.

Covered in more bubble wrap than you can imagine for safety.

When I finally opened the package (not an easy feat, mind you, thanks to all the bubble wrap!) and pulled out the CD, I literally squealed with happiness. There was a note stuck to the front.

The CD came from Rock Corner.

I'm now the happy owner of my very own This Is War!

Something so small brightened up my Christmas so much. Thank you a million times over, Jai!

Honestly, next time I'm gonna find something really fabulous for you and post it to you as a surprise :D Except that I'm always takde duit la :( But some day I'll repay you...

And last but not least, my dearest Elliz happens to share birthdays with a Mars boy. Happy birthday, Jared! You get younger every year, you son of a bitch. Come to Malaysia again, this time when I'm around, kthxbai. xD

Guess what? It's Christmas Eve! A surprise present arrived for me yesterday but that will have to wait for another post, because today I'm unveiling my first Kristmas Konadicure!

I was heavily inspired by two gorgeous Christmas Konadicures done by Polish Hoarder Disorder.

Tomorrow's gonna be a busy day for me! In the morning, baby Ava is getting baptised at the Catholic church in Bukit Mertajam where my sister got married. Really excited, never seen Christening/baptism before! :D

Will probably spend the afternoon at my sister's mother-in-law's house and at night, I'm attending a wedding dinner in Kedah! But FML got nothing to wear!! And to make matters worse, my sister refuses to lend me her purple Forever 21 tunic T__T

Argh! At my sister's own wedding dinner, I absolutely resented people who hadn't dressed up appropriately! Like they couldn't care less. A wedding is someone's special day and I think you owe it to them to look your best. Thus the ethical dilemma!

By the way, any idea what would be acceptable attire for attending a baptism? I asked my sister and her answer... "It's a church, so as un-slutty as possible." Hmpf, very funny.
