queen of babble: Australian Open Tennis 2010.

Finally got a chance to blog again because my broadband internet has been down the past few days!

Every time January of a new year rolls around, us tennis fans get excited. Why, you ask?

The first grand slam of the year, the Australian Open of course! I think the Australian Open has gotta be my 2nd favourite tennis grand slam, after Wimbledon (although maybe after last year's Roddick-Federer finals showdown, it's now my least favourite T___T)

It's the one grand slam where I can watch the matches LIVE and don't have to stay up till abominable times to watch it because of the time zone difference.

So far, the Men's Semifinals are... Marin Cilic vs Andy Murray and Roger Federer vs JW Tsonga. The Women's Finals are between Serena Williams and Justine Henin.

Every year, I support the same players, hoping with crossed fingers and watching with bated breath. But fuck man, I think they all lost already! T___T

ANDY RODDICK! (Mwahahaha Shar, suck on that! :D) Omg, I've supported this guy front and center since I was like... 10. When he was young and #1 and rivaling Lleyton Hewitt and dating Mandy Moore and won the US Open.

But sadly, Roddick lost to Marin Cilic in the quarterfinals. The match was so kancheong man! I was like alternating between shouting and crying. Roddick, after losing 2 sets, had the greatest comeback ever and won 2 sets!! Shit man, I was sure he was gonna win already, but in the end he lost the 5th set. So depressing.

Fuck you Adrien Brody look-alike aka Cilic! <=( So happy Murray beat you in the semifinals.

I still think Roddick should've won Wimbledon 2009, not Federer. He deserved it SO MUCH! In the end, he was just unlucky. For hours I watched that match, so damn kancheong then omg, my heart literally broke.

FUCK YOU, FEDERER, I STILL HATE YOU AND WILL NEVER FORGIVE YOU EVER!!! I HOPE YOU LOSE!!

NOVAK DJOKOVIC! This guy is pretty much more recent, maybe the past 3 years? No idea why I started supporting him, I guess I was bored of watching all the hideous players, and I didn't like Federer nor Nadal, and he was pretty cute and good? Lol. And I think it was when Roddick wasn't good.

And for the girls, as always, I am faithful to MARIA SHARAPOVA. Ever since she was 16 (my age now, omg!) and won her first Wimbledon against Serena Williams and has been the original glamour girl of tennis.

But omg I'm so sad, she lost in the first round, wtf!! :'( No more on-court chioness and her super cute, stylish Nike outfits! Noooooo!! That green tie-dyed floaty dress was too cute!

I still remembered when she won the 2008 Australian Open, oh my, that was epic! She was incredible.

This is the bitch she lost to. Some unknown cb named Maria Kirilenko! Argh! Sharapova lost the first set closely 6-7 then she won the second set, and what the hell happened?? T__T

But nvm, she definitely has future potential career as a supermodel. Cb, 6 feet plus tall, with those darn long toned legs! And those effing broad shoulders and that blonde hair and somemore so pretty.

Why are some people so genetically gifted? :(

I also quite like DINARA SAFINA. That girl is too freaking cool and gung ho! She beat like, 3 different #1 players in the span of 6 months last year? Or something like that.

All the matches she plays MUST be 3 sets. She will always lose the first set, then second set very close and then finally win the 3rd set. ALWAYS! Don't believe, you try watch.

Her boobies look like eyes.

Kinda reminds me of Andy lah, but Andy always loses the first set, then if he wins the second set, he got chance to win the match, but it MUST be second and third set that he wins.

If he loses first and second set, no hope already. He will get some sort of negative mentality or something. (Wrote this before his crazy comeback match against Cilic!)

Not because he no stamina, he got truckloads of stamina, or else how he play 4 hour match with Federer until the 5th set so bloody long!

I also used to think JUSTINE HENIN is quite chio, but now she's kinda old la. But she's so cool leh! She retired from tennis for 2 years to have children and now she's back playing unseeded but she's emmefin incredible! I kinda wanted a Safina vs. Henin final.

And I must include my favourite umpires too! Yes, I have favourite umpires :D Mostly it's the umpires who're very funny when Roddick fights with them, but yeah, they're the less boring umpires.
