It had to happen sooner or later.
By "it" I mean my HIATUS. Sorry la if I potonged your steam.
This is what will eventually happen when the blogger of the blog you read is a student, who unfortunately still has to sit for exams, that start tomorrow. Trust me, I don't like it any more than you do!
Hmmm I wonder what I will have to blog about when exams are over... *muddled* Thankfully I won't have to think about it until then!!
(Wtf, why my exams so long one fml.) And wish me the best for my exams! :) Good luck people!!
P/S: Friends still looking for prom dress designs, check out http://www.seventeen.com/parties/prom/prom-dress-finder!!! 272 pages of ABSOLUTE GORGEOUSNESS in every single design and colour you can ever imagine. If you don't find something you like there, the blame's totally on me!

"Ain't Too Proud to Beg" - Susan Donovan - 2009
Yay, yet another use of popular song title, in a book that has absoulutely nothing to do with the phrase! And not only does the title not fit, it's also a very ill-fitting cover. These days it seems every other contemporary published has a sweet looking dog on it, but this book, the first in a series about single, (lonely/divorced/bitter/insecure) dog owners, shows no dogs and in fact, looks like it could be the latest Susan Elizabeth Phillips novel to hit the stands.
Like Christie Craig, Susan Donovan is a newer author I enjoy - and like Christie Craig's last effort, this one just didn't do it for me. It wasn't the hero (or his neck tattoo!!) or even the forgettable heroine - it was the heroine's man-hating dog walking group who ruin the story for me. Unfortunately this is a series and they are the ladies-in-waiting so to speak.
They are man-hating (but only til their book comes around) and nosy, and they make pacts which make them seem more like 12 year olds than women with good jobs and children. One has a website called, "ivomitonallmen.com" so she's a lot of fun to be around, and I couldn't stand '40 going on 5' Ginger's constant petty and shallow whining about how her looks have gone south and she's menopausal though no doctor believes it. Seriously, shut up already.
Too bad "The Night She Got Lucky" (Ginger is the 'she') is the next book. Too bad I read a "D" grade review of it that seems dead on. Too bad a friend lent me this book so I have to read it. Too bad it seems Donovan has lost the charm of "Take a Chance on Me" and "He Love's Lucy." Hope she gets it back when these girls are done...

My wedding dress.
This is, WITHOUT A SHADOW OF DOUBT, going to be my future wedding dress ♥♥♥ And yes, it's going to be PINK. Because, well... why not? :D My wedding, my choice.
Yes yes, I know it's extremely presumptious and I've got about another 10 years to go, but a girl can dream. And in my dreams, I'm in a beautiful church (I'm not Christian, they're just such pretty places!) and this is the dress I'm wearing.
Can you imagine, seriously just IMAGINE that, going down the aisle...
*hyperventilates and fans self*
NOBODY STEAL MY WEDDING DRESS IDEA HUH HUH!!!! Or else I'll find you at your wedding and rip the dress off your back just like in Bride Wars!!!!! D=< *bares teeth* Ahahahahhah kidding. But if you're my sister and I see you wearing this dress on your wedding day I will plunge your face into your wedding cake :)

A sudden addiction to online shopping!
There's something to be said about being cooped up at home every day and not being allowed out to satisfy my window shopping cravings...
IT DRIVES ME INSANE!!!
I am sitting here, brooding, forever building a longer and massively longer shopping list full of useless crap I don't need and don't even really want! I only fantasize about them because I CAN'T HAVE 'EM RIGHT NOW. Ugh.
So what is a shopaholic to do when estranged from the nearest mall? Turn to ONLINE SHOPS of course!!!
I have, although, learnt to buy only because of necessity and not on impulse because I think the item is pretty/cute/eye-catching/dead-cheap-must-bai.
I've tried to be as reasonable as possible and so far have found six things that I absolutely cannot live without!
1.) Signature Minerals' Concealers! In Soft Mint and Soft Sunshine. From Simply Naturale.
2.) Signature Minerals' Rose blusher! From Simply Naturale.
3.) The Sticker Monster's pink bow Decoden!
Been looking high and low in local shops for something like this to put on my phone and voila! This one's only RM2/piece (promo price) with yes, you guessed it, free postage within Malaysia!!!
Better than that stupid cheat money Minimaos which charges RM6 for postage (somemore put ugly and uninformative product images on the site), you can eat my turds thanks.
4.) The Sticker Monster's epoxy glue!
This is just cause the price looks appealing and I'm sien to go out and find epoxy glue in stationery stores hahaha. Only RM4/bottle (the bottle is mad tiny though, I hope it'll be enough!) and also free postage, duh!!!
5.) The Sticker Monster's protective blinging film!
6.) Beauty Splash's gel eyeliner!
7.) Last but not least, Beauty Splash's false eyelashes!
Don't you just love the shape of these false lashes??? Nice falsies are SO hard to find... most are either too short, too long, too sparse, too kuazhang, etc etc etc. And best of all, these are only SGD9.90 for 8 pairs! With, what else could it be but, free postage within Singapore!!! But again, I'm gonna pay an extra SGD2 for registered mail cause I have no idea what the Singapore postal system is like!
My experience with Beauty Splash so far has been... less than encouraging though. FOUR days after emailing them and I STILL haven't received any reply -_- But I shall persevere if only because I really like their stuff and it's so cheap!
I'm fast learning that online shopping can look fun and easy but get SERIOUSLY stressful if you have to deal with unprofessional sellers, which is why the two things I love the most are FREE/CHEAP POSTAGE and EXCELLENT + FAST CUSTOMER SERVICE ♥♥♥
Good customer service is sooo underrated these days, which is a real pity.
So yeah, anybody feeling the tickling urge to SHOP but is stuck at home, I encourage you to check out these sites!!! TOTAL gratification guaranteed cause it's so cheap and you won't regret it!
Unless your stuff get lost in the mail which you can either prevent by praying really REALLY hard (not recommended :P) or shelling out just a little bit more for safer postage methods. Like me!
I go through the trouble to buy buy buy, if it doesn't sampai, I WILL DAI T____T (crap that is the most awesome rhyming sentence ever)
After Mock Exams somebody (preferably with an Amicion discount card *exaggerated wink*) needs to pei me to go to the mall to blow off my B$20 Face Shop voucher and buy 3 new Konad plates!!! I'm thinking of getting m59, m62 and m71 to continue the building of a horifically large collection :)

I blame Tuach for this. Bad influence! Only RM10 per sample 5g jar though!!! And works like MAGIC and LIGHT as a feather. PLUS, free Pos Ekspres shipping within Malaysia!!! Excessive exclamation marks = extreme enthusiasm :D
2.) Signature Minerals' Rose blusher! From Simply Naturale.
Because I am sick and tired of my stupid unobliging Maybelline Apricot blush. Stupid thing forces me to SCRUB it onto my face!! And it's also a shimmer blush, totally unsuitable for prom flash photography. Also RM10 per sample jar with free postage!
3.) The Sticker Monster's pink bow Decoden!

RM15 for an A4 sheet which I'm actually quite simtiah to buy, but at least it'll guarantee there won't be any WORSE simtiah-ness if I accidentally bling my phone/any other gadget wrongly! Now I can bling freely with no worries *phew*
My experience so far with The Sticker Monster has been GREAT! The girl who runs it (Jolene @ www.jayelleenelial.com) is an absolute darling and so friendly and accomodating. Plus she replies emails super fast!! I would definitely buy from her again and highly recommend The Sticker Monster as well!!!
For a long time, I've gone with bare minimum eye makeup - only mascara. But nowadays I'm realizing the wonders that eyeliner can do for your eyes!!! Makes them look like 10 times bigger just like that! *snaps fingers* And for some reason the only eyeliner I own is a dark brown pencil so it's time I made a sound investment! And cause I'm kiamsiap, my "investment" costs only SGD9.90 :D

Oh oh!! And talking about shopping, today I bought THE MOST GORGEOUS shade of vintagey frosted dusty rose pink (I know right, so long the name I invented for it wtf) satin from Galleria YMRM!!! For my prom dress bow and it's only B$4.90/metre cause of sales! I didn't know it was possible to be THIS in love with a fabric ♥ *sighs happily*
Okay that's it for today, I'll see you again tomorrow! I hope you had as much fun taking a peek into my shopping cart as I had... well, shopping! Have I suceeded in tempting you yet?? :D

Baby pic spam!!!
Because I don't think there's a single person on this earth who doesn't like baby photos! Unless they're horrible heartless people!! In that case, I don't even want you reading my blog anyway so get lost.
For readers who don't know me, Ava is my niece by the way. Like actual niece, my sister's baby. Now that I have a bonafide niece, I actually find it annoying when people call their cousins' babies their nieces. I know it's normal to do that cause what else are you gonna call 'em right? Lol but I've never ever done that, even though my first cousin had her daughter when I was like... 10? It just felt wrong.
Okay the last thing I want to do is sound ranty!
Somehow, when I'm around Ava, the world instantly seems like a better, happier place ❤ In fact, it's IMPOSSIBLE to feel anything BUT happy when you're around a giggling, cooing, grinning baby! And it's SO not the same feeling as say... a baby cousin, or a cousin's baby. I am an Ah Ee!
Taking pics of sleepy Ava is the best! She just lies still and doesn't fidget like usual thank heavens (I'll explain that later on). But then you also get the full blast of her blur dudu face.
Sigh, I can't believe how fast she's growing up. She's such a big girl already T___T
The one and only thing I despise about Ava is...
HER EYELASHES!!! It's seriously fml when a not-even-1-year-old baby has eyelashes so much longer than yours. And they curl upwards too (see her left eye)!! :(
Over the few days that she was here, I had to control my OVERWHELMING urge to put mascara and nail polish on her!! I think Tuach would've permitted it too, except that Ava is SOOOO fidgety! She practically doesn't stop moving for EVEN A MINUTE during every one of her waking hours I swear!!! It's so hard to keep up with her without feeling like collapsing D:
I really can't believe how I'm managing to keep up daily blogging when my exams are NEXT WEEK. I'm so relaxed and calm. TOO relaxed and calm in fact. WHY WHY WHY?!?! T____T I need a panic button in my head that I can press.
But good news for you is that I still have a lot of posts I'm planning to write before I go on my hiatus, so you better keep coming back every day!!! Toodles!

I call this one The Abandoned Baby! She was seriously just sitting plonk in the middle of nowhere by herself, I took this with 50% zoom.
She doesn't just crawl, she scampers! Nearly impossible to get a pic of her crawling lol. And I think dark dark eyebrows definitely run in the family :P
Woohoo, I think we've got ourselves another bling-lover!! :D

This is the invitation card me and my sister made for Ava's 1st birthday! I edited all the photos (except one that looks dark and lackluster and fugly! Try and spot it lol) *smug* and fatty sister did the rest!

My calculator is a bedazzled princess.
♥♥♥
This was before I cleaned off all the excess glue. I had to use Uhu All Purpose Adhesive, lol!! But this photo doesn't do justice to the sparkliness of it at all :( Let's see me try and lose my calculator now!!! xD

The very wannabe food review post.
In my family, it's a warped tradition to have sushi/Japanese food during every family members' birthday. As if we don't already eat enough sushi on a regular basis!
This birthday I wanted to go to CountryPatch Cafe because I absolutely LOVED my first visit there! Reached Kiulap a little after 7 pm and... WA WA WAAAAA, whadya know, the place closes at 7 pm!!! Suai much?!? I had to pick probably the ONLY eating place in Brunei that doesn't open for dinner!! D:
So we went to Kaizen Sushi where my dad had slyly already made a reservation (So typical! <_<) First time there!
The tempura was SUPA NAIS!! Much much nicer than Excapade's. And the unagi don was SUPA YUMMY!!! Ate with peace of mind cause there were no bones in the unagi and it tasted like... salty heaven!
The nicest unagi I've ever had before, and that's saying a lot cause I've eaten unagi before at... *counts* SEVEN different chains of Jap restaurants! Sakae Sushi, Sushi King, Ajisen Ramen, Sushi Tei, Misato, Excapade Sushi and Chopstix. Yes my family are Jap food fanatics :P I'd rate Ajisen Ramen as being 2nd best for unagi hehe.
Raw salmon really is... interesting. Soaked it in lemon juice and all you can taste is soft, squishy... sourness. I don't know what's supposed to be so great about it! Like sour jelly only -_-
Overall, I'll give Kaizen Sushi ♥♥♥♥♡ just cause I loved the tempura, agedashi tofu and unagi so much!
So if you like Jap food (especially unagi/tempura), go to Kaizen Sushi in Kiarong!
-----
Next up is Fleur-de-lys! It just so happened that it's along the same block of shops as Kaizen Sushi, so we went there to get my birthday cupcakes.
Omg I loooove Fleur-de-lys cupcakes to death!!! They are the sheer meaning of decadence, with smooth lip-smacking icing piled as high as the cupcake itself!
I'm giving Fleur-de-lys ♥♥♥♥♥ cause everything they make is so pretty and so so scrumptious!
So if you like pretty desserts and pastries that don't disappoint in the taste department, go to Fleur-de-Lys in Kiarong and Seri Qlap Mall!
-----
The day after my birthday was the day my sister and Ava were leaving Brunei so we went to the airport. And had DELIFRANCE!!!
I've been craving the custard fruit tart for weeks and...
Super good and brings me back to my childhood days when me, my mom and my sister used to go to Delifrance in Yayasan practically all the time and I'd eat the fruit + biscuit tart but leave behind all the custard. Lol!! Kids.
My sister ordered the Ratatouille Baked Rice that I shared with her and it was fab!! No clue what they put on top of the rice (might just be tomatoes + capsicum + mushroom and SPECIAL SAUCE) but it tastes sooo good!
In fact, EVERYTHING on their menu looks delicious! And it isn't expensive either. Delifrance should totally open up in the Mall!!! It's a pity that the only branch right now is so far away :(
Also, the staff are super nice and polite!!! Which is something you barely barely ever see anymore here in Brunei. So that was really refreshing!
I'm obviously gonna give Delifrance ♥♥♥♥♥! I'd love to eat there more often if only I could.
So yeah, if you want good food, good service and a bright and sunny atmosphere (with comfy chairs!) but don't mind a long-ish drive, go to Delifrance at the airport! (Fo'realz, cause I really don't want them to close down again T_T)
I really hope the post didn't come out sounding too contrived! But you can't deny it was fun looking at close-up macros of gorgeously textured food!! See you tomorrow lovelies (and the occasional baddy)! ♥

My makunochi bento (sounds super kawaii doesn't it!) : raw salmon, assorted tempura and UNAGI DON!!! ♥♥♥

The mushroom tempura came with a flower shape carved out of it! How cute is that!!
Raw salmon really is... interesting. Soaked it in lemon juice and all you can taste is soft, squishy... sourness. I don't know what's supposed to be so great about it! Like sour jelly only -_-
The lighting was absolutely awful for camwhoring, but you know me! ;) And besides, when there's Photoshop, there's ALWAYS a way to deal with bad lighting!
Me and Tuachums!
Okay I dunno why I uploaded this pic I'm now realizing it looks kinda creepy cause of the cast shadow lighting :(
My all pink birthday outfit!
