When darkness turns to light, it ends tonight.

Tweets from last night:

Today was my last official day of school. I thought it was worth a blog post because it's something monumental that I’d wanna remember in the coming years.

After 12 years, from my very first day in 1999 as a boyish-looking kindergartener with a Winnie the Pooh bag who would not allow herself to cry, it’s over. That’s it. I’ll never sit in an SAS classroom again.

I stood up together with 40+ other people to greet teachers with the classic monotonic “Good morning xxx” for the last time. Complained about the heat and lack of aircon in classrooms for the last time. Waited for that 12.30 bell to ring, did PE, did duty, HAD LESSONS WITH TEACHERS, closed an exercise book saying “Stella Chai 5S1”, and zipped up my pink schoolbag for the very last time.

The same old routine school things I’ve been doing for the past 12 years that I've never even thought twice about, I’m now never going to do again. This has got to be the biggest personal change I’ve ever had to face (as opposed to big changes that affect me but which I’m not actually a part of).

It’s like a little part of me that’s been thriving for the past 12 years has just suddenly died.

And I haven’t even graduated yet! (Gonna bring a whole cardboard carton of tissues to graduation because I know without a doubt that I will be crying shamelessly like a baby.)

I’m going to miss my class A LOT. Even though we’ll still see each other almost every day during the exams, it’s not just a few people that I’ll miss, but the class as a whole. Every single person that makes (sorry can’t even come close to using the past tense here) 5S1 what it is! In a way, they’re like my school family ♥

I'm going to miss my class teacher a lot too. She's taught me for 5 years and I've always loved her English lessons so so much, I don't think I'll ever meet another teacher quite like her! It was sad writing in her old tattered black diary, the same book my sister once wrote in 7 years ago.

But I didn't cry today and that surprised me. Without realizing it, I was having so much fun cherishing those last moments as a class that I actually forgot to be sad. Or it's likely I'm just in denial huh?

I realized that while I might not miss the school itself that much, what I will miss is the circumstances, the situations, the conditions. You know, “being a student”. Being part of a class, wearing uniforms, sitting in a classroom, recess, the 7-12 routine. Probably won’t miss homework and assemblies (hehe), but you never know!

This is altogether bizarre and surreal. I can’t believe I’m in the final stages of wrapping up my secondary school education. One step closer to no longer being a schoolgirl. I just wish there was a giant PAUSE button somewhere I could press, or even… what’s the opposite of fast forward??? Slow backward? Lol!

It’s all happening so fast. Somehow naïve me thought these days would never come. Where'd the time go?

I wish I could travel back in time a few years and tell my younger self to STOP WISHING TO HURRY UP AND GRADUATE. Gosh, if there’s one useful piece of advice I could tell any schoolkid, that would be it!

The worst thing is that all this should be the last thing on my mind right now. My ‘O’ Level’s start in less than a week. So I guess it’s a good thing that I’ve gotten everything off my chest first.

Okay so this blog post isn’t completely wordy, here’s some camwhoring shots from a few weeks ago where I look unnecessarily happy:

And cute pink and purple toenails courtesy of two of my new Face Shop nail polishes!

Gonna turn to 90210 on PPS for a dose of crazy unreal drama, anything to suppress the pangs of sadness <=(

My media center PC in all its glory.

I've always been intrigued (read: sakai) by my media center computer ever since the day we got it last year. I think it's finally time I turned my intrigue into a blog post!

Just like you, I have an innocent and innocuous looking flat screen LCD TV with an Astro set (okay two, but even I don't know why, not like can watch 2 different things simultaneously!) and a China DVD player.

But hmm, I wonder what all those speakers are for... and that big black box in the corner? (Lolol my dad likes to proudly display my sister's graduation pics from 4 years ago :P)

Let's take a closer look...

Well, whaddya know, it's a CPU! :O

And I wonder what's in this drawer over here...

It happens to be a sleek black Logitech keyboard!

All of these things combine to turn my seemingly innocent, innocuous TV into, yes, you guessed it... a media center computer!

My family is so kuno that this is the only computer in the whole household that uses Windows Vista T__T

Ideal for watching movies with it's surround sound stereo or playing video games with that muthafucking huge screen (okay la, not that huge, only 32 inches, but bigger than your desktop PC that's for sure! My 40 inch in Brunei would be awesomer)!

I watched Slumdog Millionaire on DVD with my sister. It was a really nice movie, and if you haven't watched it yet, you should!

Or just plain ol' surfing the internet...

The first thing I opened was Twitter.

And sent out this sakai tweet. Hehe.

Viewing my blog! It looks so pink, which it usually doesn't on my desktop.

Holy cow, check out the huge ass pic of my blue polka-dot Konadicure! :D

Loading Cafe World for a truly big screen experience.

My chio pink cafe! But dunno why so kasian, only got one lonely customer FML :(

And that's me! I feel like changing the baju cause I'm getting bored of the red and black dress. Got chio Xmas dresses! Okay, I'm getting carried away...

Checking my Gmail inbox... OMG! I has 2012 unread emails, itz the end of world!! :O:O Lolol. I never bother to read unwanted emails. They're not worth my time opening and deleting them.

And it just so happens that my media center PC and PPStream? A match made in heaven! So guess what I watched on PPS yesterday?

That's right, none other than Bones! There were 2 new episodes that I had no idea about cause my laptop has been at the shop and I didn't check PPS recently. Oh boy, it was so clear, the sound was awesome... Like I said: hubba hubba~

Damn, I love Bones way too much.

I do, I really do.

But something went wrong T___T

I was in the mood to putrify my brains with loads of silly overdrama and poor little rich kids so...

I picked 90210! :P Which is actually nice and even sweet to watch once you get over the fact that they're all supposed to be 16 wtf.

KFC + fun shows on PPS =  LOVE!

That's it, I no longer need Astro, don't care how many sets I have! I can just watch PPS on the media center PC all... day... long, around... the... clock! :D Basically, it's pure awesomesauce.

The only thing I don't like is that there's no mouse. I can't live without a mouse... mice are like my oxygen. I effing hate touchpads!

Other than that, one word for my media center PC would be: SHIOK!!!

EDIT: Holy crapola, I had no idea there's such a thing as Windows Media Center program and that I have it on my media center PC cause it's Windows Vista Ultimate. It looks effing cool wei, can't wait to check it out!

KOTD: The Purple Butterflies.

(KOTD - Konadicure Of The Day)

As promised, I'm showcasing photos of my latest Konadicure. I didn't really like it at first, but I'm in love with it now! I think it looks so professional and expensive looking :D So glad I'll never have to go to a nail salon ever!

Happily tweeted a ton while doing my nails, so I thought I'd post the tweets to save me having to explain all of it.  Plus, it introduces any of you Twitter illiterates to the wonderful world of tweeting!

I had major indecision issues about what colour I should use on my nails.

I obviously didn't see her tweet (now baru I realized it's because you typed @xxmarsarmygirl wrongly, Mar! :O), because then I asked again, more persistent this time.

And tweeted a threat as well, lol!

This was at 6.49 pm that I started my Konadicure. The last time my nails were painted purple was my sister's wedding :)

And finished it at 9.28 pm. Yes, I was watching super hilarious Rush Hour 3 while doing my nails.

I did some math and came up with this conclusion:
Is spending 3 hours purely on nails obsession psychosis dedication or what?? :D

Your wish is my command!

And now for the actual nails! Behold...

The Purple Butterflies

The five different nail polishes I used. You can more or less tell where each one goes.

The Konad image plates I used were...
#1 - M57

#2 - M36

I didn't come up with this Konadicure by myself, so I'm going to give credit where it's due.

My Konadicure was inspired by this one done by Kronicles of a Konader, which she calls Pretty Pretty Periwinkle.

And she herself got her inspiration from the wonderfully talented KonAddict!

Hope you liked it and until my next Konadicure, happy Konading! :)
(Lol, my blog is quickly turning into a Konad blog... siao.)

P/S: Hello December!
