Jumbled up.

HI GUYS, I'M BACK!!!!

Random unnecessary narcissistic photo :D

Checked my Cbox recently and saw this comment:

Which made me feel really bad! Sorry, I just needed some time off to relax after all the stress. Hmm, I pondered for two days over what I should blog about. Then I realized that I really have no motivation to blog right now.

I've got ideas, but no spark that makes me want to put fingers to keyboard. I've lost my blogging juice fml.

Basically, the only thing I can think about at this point is 'O'-Level's. Even my fear over next year's uncertainties have evaporated. To be honest, I can't wait to get studying again after taking last week off. 36 days and counting. That's not a lot! It's crunch time, for REAL now.

Daunting? So.

This is just gonna be a horrid mish-mash of my week.

I've spent a huge portion of it being a slob, watching shows on PPS from 12 to 5 am every morning night. I think the last time I did this was... the December holidays last year? I don't even remember.

It's just extremely comforting to not have to focus on any tasks at hand and be absorbed into an alternate reality. Escapism ftw!

My poisons of choice were Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy and 90210.

Smallville WAS on that list, but I realize I'm sick of where that show’s headed. The writers aren’t good at handling the more "serious" storyline that they're running with. It's resulted in bland, one-track episodes with no comic relief!! -_- It's sad cause I've watched Smallville for umpteen years, but now sitting through even 15 minutes is a chore.

So I replaced it with White Collar!

BAHAHHAHA I can't stand how they edited his eyes electric blue!! Matt Bomer is one guy who definitely does not need any Photoshopping. Epic hot :9

I have a thing for FBI/crime solving/investigative shows these days!! Adds to my jadedness lol. I've realized that I have a VERY low tolerance for vapidness! Give me show with some bite! (By this I do NOT mean vampire shows.)

Been out of the house a couple of times! Breathing fresh air and seeing the clouds and all that.

Oh! I went to watch Vampires Suck with Mun on Wednesday. And I ENJOYED IT SO MUCH, HOHOHOHO!!! Is that totally evil or what?? >:D

Until now, I've yet to find another person who liked it too. I think the only vamp I DON'T hate, is Angel ♥

Any comments defending Twilight or scolding me will be deleted. This is MY blog, after all. I don't leave nasty comments on your posts when you blog about how much you love Twilight, so reserve that same courtesy for me.

Warning to all Twi-hards: DO NOT WATCH VAMPIRES SUCK.

You KNOW you’re going to hate it, so wouldn’t it be plain silly to waste a few dollars to torture yourself and then just bitch about it afterwards? Please, save your time.

Had a disgusting sungkai dinner at Swensen's before that. Reminder to self: NEVER EVER order baked rice from Swensen's ever again!!!!!!

I don't know why I keep going back there... 80% of the menu really sucks. If you're lucky, you end up picking something within that sacred 20% (I never seem to T_T). Next time I'm sticking to either the fish & chips or the penne arrabbiata!

I literally had to force the oily, mulchy, gooey, tasteless rice and fish down with my newest favourite concoction: lemon water! No, not lemonade. Lemon WATER. Basically I took the water and squeezed the lemon quarter from Mun's fish and chips into it. Result: refreshing zestiness!

Mandatory camwhoring shot at Swensen's:

Seems that whatever skills I have with Photoshop CS3 still can't overcome the combined forces of bad lighting, blinding flash and shitty cam :(

And Saturday night, was Mun's advanced birthday dinner! I can't believe she's turning 17 tomorrow! Hell, I can't believe I'M 17 T____T

We went to Capers for sungkai All You Can Eat. My God, you should've seen those bottomless pits (aka boys) inhale their food!!! We ordered like what, 30 plates of pasta and 20 pizzas?!?!

Okay, given, there were 17 (ooh! Lucky number 17, I just realized!) of us. I've never seen so much food disappear so fast before in my life! A sight to behold :D

But I’ll save those photos for posting after September 7th ;)

Oh! And something else I did was a Konadicure! Standard issue school holiday requirement ^^ I didn't like it very much at first (I just don't like working with blue. Clue for all you pink haters, you're gonna be happy!), but I think it's growing on me with time...

Stick around to see my nails next week! And I'm starting to think maybe I should start a Konad FAQ or some kind of tutorial... I get so many questions! Really, it's simpler than you think. It only takes practice and patience :)

Am reeeaalllyyyy looking forward to Tradition on Wednesday!!!! Sushi and nyaman juicies and ice cream dessert and camwhoring!! My Traditions are numbered, soon they'll just be a bit of history in my books :(

Letting go is hard to do! Good times were never meant to last.

My American Idol post!

I'm actually loving American Idol this year! Last year, I watched it from beginning to end, and was on the fence the whole time about Glambert vs Kris, but my heart just wasn't in it. I didn't care who won.

I obviously still had David Cook-separation issues. I supported him since his audition, and when he got  through week after week and eventually won over Archuleta... very cannot tahan my elation!

Okay, digressing.

But this year, I finally have space in my heart for a new American Idol! And I've had my favourites of Season 9 picked out since the first time I saw them. Although a lot of the contestants suck (it's true, you have to admit it, lots of lousy ones this year), there are definitely a few outstanding ones!

Casey James.

Kinda liked him in the audition? But I was sorta undecided, and then when he sang Heaven in Top 24, I was sold. Drooling and very sold. Hubba haarrrbaaaa. I kinda wish he would put away his electric guitar though, and just go acoustic again. That way you can really hear his voice and it's also smexier!

Lee Dewyze.

Two words: Chasing Cars. I didn't even know Lee's name at the time I heard him sing that song in Top 24, but I knew I was in love. The way he connects with the audience is so intense, I literally melt when I watch him. Oh, and have I mentioned his voice is so sexy pls? Urgh can die.

Siobhan Magnus.

How can you not love her?! Her voice is killer (those high notes she hits are insane!) and she's an incredible performer, miles ahead than most of the others. And she's just so cute and bubbly, you wanna squish her!

Basically, I tune in every Wednesday just to see these 3 people sing. I anticipate their performances so much, waiting for them to blow me away. I think Lee and Siobhan have a huge chance of making it to Top 3. Fingers crossed!

I actually also like Katie Stevens, although she isn't a great singer, I think she definitely has room for improvement. Plus she's only 17! Total and utter respect.

I think everyone else (except Crystal Bowersox, who although is really good, I don't like) should go home sooner or later, but there are a few who really need to go home THIS week! I'll be extremely happy if any of them get voted off :D

Firstly, Tim Urban!

Omg, I don't care if people girls think he's good-looking, he can't sing to save his life and he definitely doesn't deserve to be on American Idol! People who are better singers than him are getting sent home because all those tween-girls keep voting for him and his JoBro hair -___-"

He's been in the bottom 3 so many times, argh just get rid of him already!

Didi Benami.

Okay, admittedly, I never liked her. She reminds me so much of Brooke White (from last season) whom I also didn't like. Last week she was okay, but this week her performance was really, really bad. Her voice isn't powerful, has a weird tone and she can't keep pitch.

Finally a reason for people to vote her out cause girl, you're no good! Such irony hor?

Paige Miles.

Consistently bad and boring performances week after week. I really just want to change the channel whenever she's singing! She has to go home, laryngitis or not.

I also don't like Andrew Garcia at all. I mean, he's not nearly as good as people keep making him out to be! Just because of one performance in Hollywood week, everyone keeps raving about him. Meanwhile, he's been giving mediocre to bad performances every week since Hollywood. I even think his performances are quite pretentious! Ugh, but he wasn't as bad this week as those 3 I picked to go home.

I'll be tuning in for the results show later at 6 pm to see if my predictions were right! Will you?

P/S: Anybody who slams me for "judging" these people or says "you think you can sing very well meh?" is really gonna get it from me. So I'm saying it in advance ah, if you're having these kinda thoughts after reading my post, then you're just a very stupid and ignorant person. The whole point of American Idol is the contestants are supposed to be judged. Only the best singers can remain on the show. And it's up to the public to decide who they think is good or bad :)

I'm not an eyeshadow person + Sexy beast's big day!

Applying eyeshadow is truly an art, and the proper technique to achieve the right look is seriously tediously hard to master. So many people screw it up all the time.

Which is why lazy me always just chooses to forgo colourful eyelids. My mascara is usually enough and serves me well and faithfully, as demonstrated by this blog post.

I was looking through some older webcam photos and I found some pics from when I was playing around with the two poor solitary eyeshadows that I own. It inspired me to try out eyeshadow again, because I finally bought myself some eyeliner.

Yes, you heard me right, I've gone 16 years without eyeliner! The reason being is the same as not wearing eyeshadow... my mascara is already dramatic enough, with eyeliner it becomes over-the-top. Wearing it daily is out of the question.

So I guess this is officially my very first attempt with eyeliner. I need practice! But I actually think it's quite boleh tahan right? Lol.

Basically it's just shimmery pink eyeshadow, dark brown eyeliner and mascara. Really simple. Didn't want to bite of more than I can chew when I don't really know what I'm doing. I'm really not kidding when I say I am purely a mascara girl!

Naked eye to begin with. Yuck.

Step 1: Curl lashes. I can't emphasize how important it is to have a good eyelash curler and knowing how to use it well.

Step 2: Apply mascara. As usual, my Maybelline Cat Eyes mascara.

Step 3: Pink shimmery winged eyeshadow over top lid.

Step 4: Dark brown eyeliner on top lid and 3-quarter inwards on lower lid. Extended outwards into a wing. Join top and bottom.

And uh, that's all?

The photos were taken at the beginning of the month, and as you can see, my eyebrows are cleanly plucked. I happen to pluck my eyebrows regularly, but as I'm sure you know, hair grows back quickly. Please don't make assumptions based on one photo from a previous month and learn to elaborate properly in your comments.

Surprisingly, I've discovered that winged eyeliner as we know it today, is nothing new at all. I was watching an episode of Bewitched (the show) on TV and Samantha Stephens (the witch, yes) was wearing cute black winged eyeliner! And that show was from the 1960's please!

Okay la, this was the best photo I could find of it.

Elizabeth Montgomery who played Samantha Stephens has even passed away already. Yup, a woman so old she's dead wore winged eyeliner before anybody in Hollywood, anyone in fashion magazines and you. Interesting, huh?

-----

Last but not least, to my one and only SEXY BEAST...

HAPPY 16TH BIRTHBEASTDAY!

These are the only photos I have of Nai Ping, lol! Also realized I've never taken any photos with him. HOW CAN HOT STICK AND SEXY BEAST NOT HAVE ANY PHOTOS TOGETHER??

One year older, one year sexier! ;) NAAAATT!! xD Hope you had fun at maths tuition. LOL.

You know you love me. xoxo, Hot Stick.

My media center PC in all its glory.

I've always been intrigued (read: sakai) by my media center computer ever since the day we got it last year. I think it's finally time I turned my intrigue into a blog post!

Just like you, I have an innocent and innocuous looking flat screen LCD TV with an Astro set (okay two, but even I don't know why, not like can watch 2 different things simultaneously!) and a China DVD player.

But hmm, I wonder what all those speakers are for... and that big black box in the corner? (Lolol my dad likes to proudly display my sister's graduation pics from 4 years ago :P)

Let's take a closer look...

Well, whaddya know, it's a CPU! :O

And I wonder what's in this drawer over here...

It happens to be a sleek black Logitech keyboard!

All of these things combine to turn my seemingly innocent, innocuous TV into, yes, you guessed it... a media center computer!

My family is so kuno that this is the only computer in the whole household that uses Windows Vista T__T

Ideal for watching movies with it's surround sound stereo or playing video games with that muthafucking huge screen (okay la, not that huge, only 32 inches, but bigger than your desktop PC that's for sure! My 40 inch in Brunei would be awesomer)!

I watched Slumdog Millionaire on DVD with my sister. It was a really nice movie, and if you haven't watched it yet, you should!

Or just plain ol' surfing the internet...

The first thing I opened was Twitter.

And sent out this sakai tweet. Hehe.

Viewing my blog! It looks so pink, which it usually doesn't on my desktop.

Holy cow, check out the huge ass pic of my blue polka-dot Konadicure! :D

Loading Cafe World for a truly big screen experience.

My chio pink cafe! But dunno why so kasian, only got one lonely customer FML :(

And that's me! I feel like changing the baju cause I'm getting bored of the red and black dress. Got chio Xmas dresses! Okay, I'm getting carried away...

Checking my Gmail inbox... OMG! I has 2012 unread emails, itz the end of world!! :O:O Lolol. I never bother to read unwanted emails. They're not worth my time opening and deleting them.

And it just so happens that my media center PC and PPStream? A match made in heaven! So guess what I watched on PPS yesterday?

That's right, none other than Bones! There were 2 new episodes that I had no idea about cause my laptop has been at the shop and I didn't check PPS recently. Oh boy, it was so clear, the sound was awesome... Like I said: hubba hubba~

Damn, I love Bones way too much.

I do, I really do.

But something went wrong T___T

I was in the mood to putrify my brains with loads of silly overdrama and poor little rich kids so...

I picked 90210! :P Which is actually nice and even sweet to watch once you get over the fact that they're all supposed to be 16 wtf.

KFC + fun shows on PPS =  LOVE!

That's it, I no longer need Astro, don't care how many sets I have! I can just watch PPS on the media center PC all... day... long, around... the... clock! :D Basically, it's pure awesomesauce.

The only thing I don't like is that there's no mouse. I can't live without a mouse... mice are like my oxygen. I effing hate touchpads!

Other than that, one word for my media center PC would be: SHIOK!!!

EDIT: Holy crapola, I had no idea there's such a thing as Windows Media Center program and that I have it on my media center PC cause it's Windows Vista Ultimate. It looks effing cool wei, can't wait to check it out!
