Resolutions March 2010
Well, fell slightly short this month, but actually I felt really busy and productive so I'm not complaining. The only thing I couldn't squeeze in was to SEW SOMETHING, however April's is already taken care of, so it evens out I guess...

KOTD: Just Juicy.
It's time for another very overdue Konadicure post! Imagine, I did this one during the holidays, a week and a half ago!
You can blame the procrastinator in me for being too lazy to edit the photos till now. Sowee. *runs and hides*
Continuing with my pink theme, I was inspired to do a Konadicure based on the iconic pink and dark brown colour scheme of Juicy Couture! I don't really like their stuff (shocked, are you?). It's just not my style, but I do ♥ the colour combination.

My nails were a tiny bit longer for this Konadicure cause it was towards the end of the holidays already, thank God. I cannot stress enough how much I really hate short nails!
Of the 2 Konadicures I did during the holidays, I definitely love this one a lot more. I just adored showing them off for a week! Yes, I can be an attention-whore sometimes, especially when it comes to my nails, my pride and joy.
In natural lighting.
A unfocused photo so you can see how sparkly the blings were. I've learnt that nails will always look better with blings! :D
The brown was actually a bit darker than it how it looks in the photos with natural light. More like a deep, rich chocolatey brown. Mmmm, chocolate... shit.
Congratulate me, I've resisted chocolate for only 4 days so far! 27 more days to go, fingers crossed. Okay, I'm digressing. Back to the nails!
With flash.
They were fast to do too, considering they look quite complicated. About 1 and a half hours maybe? When I told this to some people, they gasped in shock. What?! I've spent 2 and a half hours on some of my more elaborate Konadicures before!
Well, most of the time is wasted just waiting for the polish to dry anyway. Other nail afficionados (sp?) out there will know how bloody tedious it is to wait, wait and wait! But we do it for the thrill of painting and the satisfaction of the perfect end-product.
Yes, that's what you call dedication :D
I used Silkygirl Ever Glossy - Sassy Raspberry for the base. I love this pink so much but it's finishing and turning a bit goopy :( I plan to buy a new bottle to replace it. Skin Food - BR610 Coffee Jelly for the diagonal tips, Elianto - #44 Twilight Zone for the Konad design and The Face Shop nail top coat.
Konad image plate m65.
Big thanks to Munibah! I used her Canon DSLR to take all the photos.
It feels so good to finally be reunited with my own digital camera now that my dad is back in Brunei again :) Guess what else has been reunited?
My This Is War CD! I haven't listened to it in 3 months since I accidentally left it in Penang, but I still remember all the lyrics. It feels so good to hear it again. I will always love 30 Seconds To Mars.
Until next time (which will probably be in June, my apologies!), happy Konad-ing!

I'm breaking up with chocolate.
Starting NOW!
My acne (face la, not bum) is getting slightly outta hand. I don't know if it was the stress from school or the tests earlier in the month or what that pulled the trigger, but my face seems to be popping out raging zits faster than Octomom is popping out babies!!
And I'm officially sick of it. Wouldn't you be too?
Heck, even my canggih-sounding twice daily 3-step skincare regimen doesn't seem to be holding a candle to my zits :( I'm running out of ideas so as a last resort, I'm taking Jai's advice and cutting out chocolate completely from my diet.
For one whole month. 30 days. Count it.
And not just Cadbury and Kinder Bueno and Patchi. Nah, that's child's play. But chocolate chip cookies, chocolate cake, chocolate eclairs, chocolate ice-cream, Koko Krunch (I don't even eat that, but whatever).
Anything that's dark brown in colour and looks as though it has chocolate in it is going, going, GONE!
This is gonna be damn hard cause I looove chocolate. And it could even turn into a vicious cycle, i.e. wanting chocolate, realizing I can't have it, severe chocolate withdrawal and depression, stress, more acne, going in search of chocolate to abate my stress, realizing I can't have it... well, you see where this is going.
FML!!! Ugh, see the kind of sacrifices I make in the name of vanity?!
This better work or else I'll just be giving up one of the best foods in the world for no good reason at all. I think I'm beginning to crave chocolate already as I type this. Oopsie :)
Must. Resist!
P/S: I'm sure by now you've noticed my new blog layout for the month of April! :) Changed it really fast, I didn't even need to temporarily close down my blog. I hope you like it. No pink, so you pink-haters can rejoice for a month. Actually, even I was sick of the pink for 2 months. April 2010, boy that was fast!

As if I'm going to show you a photo of my zitty face! From now on, I'm going to perpetually wear concealer whenever I go out to shield the world from my nasty pimples. See how considerate I am?? Concealer is a GODSEND.
In case you don't know (what planet have you been living on?!), this crazy chick Nadya Suleman has 14 toddlers, she had 8 of them at the same time: octuplets. Go Google Octomom.

I'm sorry, there's only one word to describe all the decadent chocolate photos. If you know me, I think you'll know what I'm going to say: ORGASMIC! Hmm, I hope I've sufficiently tempted you to grab the nearest chocolatey food you can find :D
