Coffee (and other) cravings.

I don’t quite know why I’ve turned info a coffee addict as of late. Well, I know how it started, but not why I can’t stop drinking it. It’s not like I can even remotely stand the bitter taste. I firmly believe lots of cream and sugar is the only way to go.

When I finally find it in myself to give in to my coffee craving, I almost immediately get a post-caffeine stomachache. Like God’s little punishment. But does this deter me the second time around?

Nuh-uh, not on your life.

Addictions are funny like that.

And did I mention I also have a habit of photographing them? And everything else on the surface of the earth...?

Among other cravings are donuts (Bakerlyn’s), cheese cake (Coffee Bean’s), Fruit Loops (don’t ask, I know what they say about it being chock-full of cyanide, blah, blah), PB & J sandwiches with bananas (got the idea from
Seventeen magazine) and good ol’ chocolate. And a banana split (Swensen’s).

And new shoes :P

Santa, are you writing all this down? You’d better be.

Basically, just anything loaded with more sugar than is healthy for human consumption (‘cept the shoes). Which really isn’t good considering I have a family history of heart disease (ooh, scary). I do, however, believe that meeting the perfect pair of shoes will indeed send me into cardiac arrest.

But what’s life for if not to enjoy?

And randomly, I want a French manicure. There’s no assembly during bulan Ramadhan anyway. I’m just usually lazy. Meh, what’s new?

Time to go watch Formula 1. It’s gonna be a sucky race, so right now I’m praying for divine intervention. Fingers crossed.

Adios.

Weck Mich Auf!

(Written on 13/09 @ approx. 7.25 pm)

That's German for ‘wake me up’, by the way.

Okay, I know I’m supposed to be studying like some kind of maniac, but the thing is, I can’t stop falling asleep.

How on earth does everyone else do it??

I swear, someone should alert the medical boards about this:boring textbooks > Xanax. And interestingly, an overdose of them is also believed to be lethal. Approach with caution. Do not exceed the stated dose. And most importantly: keep away from everyone children.

I’m referring to textbooks, of course.

Even coffee doesn’t help on most days. The scenario goes pretty much like this: get home from school at 1 pm (nowadays 12 pm, praise puasa), have lunch, then coffee at 2. Out cold by 2.30, not to be seen or heard from again till 7 pm.
So, you see, that kinda puts a damper on any studying plans I might have. Now, this is the real medical mystery doctors should be searching for a cure for.

Oh, could you imagine… textbook-in-a-pill! Sweet.
Reminds me of Willa Wonka…

Anyway, school: I could barely stay awake today, must've yawned about once every second.
Mrs Simmonds, undoubtedly the devil’s advocate, instructed us to finish our entire Science past-year paper book (it's empty!) over the holidays. Ada jua yang dalam kertas. What, does she want us to commit suicide?!
And there was a Geography test. It went quite well, considering I was too lazy to study. It was the government schools’ qualifying exam paper. So, all of you who sat for that… hehe. Imho, the paper was much easier than our mocks. SAS are meanies :(

P/S: Coincidentally, the voting period for the 2008 MTV Latin American Awards (Los Premios) has also started. Go
here to find out just what the hell I'm talking about.

Unavoidable Mental Instability.

(Written on 10/09 @ approx. 2.20 pm)

School was… how do I put this…? Boring. By mid-morning, my good mood had completely dissipated, largely due to a double period of Science with Mrs. Simmonds (though it was fun playing with electromagnetic circuits). She told us we had to start studying. Like I needed yet another blatant reminder.

Studying. Just the thought of it sends me into a state of delusioned mental instablity. And I'm pretty sure I speak for most of the country's schooling population when I say that. Yet, it's something completely unavoidable (much to my chagrin).

I really don't think it's healthy that I still haven't started for PMB. Studying, obviously. Except for that crap job that I did for the mock exams. Which, very shockingly, actually produced some good results. T’was a huge relief, to be honest.

I’ll study soon. My goal as of now is not to wait till the 3rd term holidays. I promised myself I'd start studying when September began, but it's now the 10th... and nada. I'm such a born procrastinator. I’m quite certain it runs in the family.

The MTV Europe Music Awards are rolling around again, just after the MTV Video Music Awards, where I actually applaud Britney Spears for a clean sweep. Good on her for beating the critics and getting her life back together, because it can't be easy. (Note: Do not mistake this comment for me being a Britney fan. I’m not.)

The EMAs will be on November 6th (zOmfg, that’s after PMB O.O) in Liverpool, to be exact. It's weird how time flies by so quickly, and it's that time of the year again. It's time to put the lawsuit drama aside, and gear up for some good ol’ power-voting, and hopefully bag the Rock Out award for the 2nd year running, and add another MTV gong to our new trophy room.

Which reminds me, the Kerrang! Awards happened recently, and we brought home two K!'s. One of the best parts was the acceptance speech for Best International Band, which Tomo made in Croation (his native language).

(Attention: those not fond of crude profanities, look away now.)
Shannon, always the naughty (perverted) boy, made him say “suck my c*ck” in Croation. So, he ended with “Puši mi kurac i imajte dobar noć!” loosely translated as “Suck my c*ck and have a good night!” So completely random. You can listen to it here if you want, and the translation is... somewhere.

Anyway, go here to check out the pre-nominees and vote for your favourite artist.

Cheers, everyone.

P/S: Good luck at Monza, Kimi. Give Ferrari fans something to cheer about. Just don’t let him win it.

P/P/S: I never did get around to doing that Computer h/w yesterday. Lol. I found it much nicer to sleep. No surprises there.
