Out with the old, in with the new.

I'm back in Brunei! Home sweet home (I guess). I flew AirAsia by myself and arrived yesterday night. Went to school today and it was fun but SO tiring and SO hot and SO hazy and thus was too lazy to learn anything.

The weather is killing me! Even in KL with the mosquitoes was better than this. Despite the itching, scratching and horribly scarred and scabby legs, at least it wasn't like a constant sauna!

My beloved coloured contact lenses expired 3 days ago. They were my trusty accomplice in giving me big, shiny, dark doll-eyes for 3 whole months! And it's time for them to head into the bin. I'm actually finding this quite tragic. Those contacts did wonders for my eyes! I'm gonna miss them :(

Anyway, not to worry, I've got new contacts to replace them! This time I thought I'd give clear lenses a try, since Jia Yee told me they're not as dry, and I'd give anything not to have to suffer for my contacts anymore. Not that it wasn't worth it. Because boy, was it worth it.

Jia Yee bought me a 3 months supply box of Bausch and Lomb Soflens (Lee Hom!) from Miri for only RM40. Bloody bargain! Then I have a box of Acuvue Clear lenses I took from my sister. Altogether, I'm all set for the next 5 months!

Another thing I've had replaced is my hair mousse. I said goodbye to the wonderful miracle that is Loreal Paris Studio Line Upward Spiral Springing Curls mousse which truly gave my wavy hair new curly life. I regret not having found it sooner!

As a replacement, I bought the Loreal Paris Studio Line Curl Power Shine Curls mousse. It's actually an older version than the previous one I used, I'm super tabalik I know. The Curl Power mousse is very different from the Upward Spiral one, but I love it just as much.

Previously I had no choice but to wash my hair at night, because the mousse made my hair crunchy and hard like plastic and only by the next day after a night of sleep would it look nice and curly and ready for action.

With the Curl Power mousse, after I apply it, it's instantly soft and wavy. It doesn't make my hair curly, just wavy, but I prefer my hair to be wavy rather than curly 'cause it's so long and only the bottom half is permed. I am loving my hair now! It's soft, fluffy, smooth, wavy and loads of volume! No more wig hair!

I'd totally 100% recommend Loreal Paris mousses to anyone with wavy or curly hair! Reminder: DO NOT BUY TRESEMME MOUSSE. That mousse is the biggest hair regret of my life. It was the first mousse I used right after I permed my hair, and if only I had used Loreal Paris instead, my curly hair would've had so much potential!

Not that I'm complaining, I went to my hairstylist asking for wavy hair and 9 months later it's still wavy. That in itself is an accomplishment. Angie is a genius!

Okay, time for Dollhouse! I'm watching the season 1 finale already. I don't know what's with all the haters and the bad reviews that Dollhouse is getting, I personally like it. Go watch! PPStream is love.

And who was I fooling, I'm obviously not going to do any homework today. It's just not my style :)

Konadicure: Zebras and leopards.

I did my animal print Konadicure yesterday afternoon and I'm so in love with it! It's true what they say: practice makes perfect; this is the best Konadicure I've done so far. So excited to share it. It's fierce!

Since I don't have a digital camera with me, and my phone camera sucks ball (yes, honestly), all the photos below are taken with my Logitech webcam. And I'm so impressed by the image quality! Damn sharp again, can rival digicam macro also loh. Not bah, huh?

The usual suspects: Silkygirl and Skin Food nail polishes and my Konad tools and image plate. I tried to get the colours as close to the authentic animal prints as possible.

Zebra print on my left hand and leopard print on my right hand. (Yeah, I know it looks the other way around, but that's just 'cause this is taken in mirror view. And I had to use my foot to press the mouse button to capture the picture ><)

In other news... Baby Ava turned 1 month old yesterday!

The glutinous nasi kunyit, curry chicken, "ang ku" and red eggs we ordered for Ava's "full moon" (i.e. 1 month old celebration). Super yummy, but I think it was what cause my stomachache the next day -.-"

I finished Grey's Anatomy season 6 premiere and a new episode of The Beautiful Life yesterday night, so I'm gonna spend today watching Dollhouse! It's created by Joss Whedon, the same guy who made Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel, shows I grew up watching. I hope it lives up to expectations

Eliza Dushku! I really miss watching Tru Calling, why the heck did they have to cancel it?? Bastards. I'm still mourning the show :(

Present-hunting and a guessing game.

So, being the ever-wonderful friend that I am, I traipsed around 1 Utama shopping mall on Friday afternoon, buying birthday presents for my best friend (♥) Munibah, and Little Miss Fun-sized Michee.

1 Utama is really near to Ikano Power Centre, Ikea, The Curve and Tesco, all of which are nearby my sister's condominium in Damansara. Talk about shopping heaven, right? I guess KL has so many people that it doesn't matter how many malls there are within a few km radius.

1 Utama is huge and it took me a while to get my bearings... those touchscreen directories were hella useful. I found Padini Concept Store (my motherland!!!) the first and then searched 2 more floors fruitlessly for Nichii Fashion City and F.O.S. Then I simply gave up and went back to Padini. I am faithful to my motherland!

I camwhored in the bathroom, a lot in the Padini store and in the car and at home. I already showed Munibah what I bought her, a pair of dark pink Jackie O sunglasses (I'm so envious!) but Michee doesn't even know what her present is yet! So I'm gonna let her guess it from the photos :D

And I'm not gonna make it easy either. I'm gonna blur out the item! But I know you'll figure it out. Have fun, Jia Yee Michee! :)

Another gorgeous purse I saw! It's pink satin and slightly bigger than the first one. It's only RM29.50 which is a disgusting B$12! (Yeah, I know, not much difference.)

It almost killed me 'cause I just only recently bought a new purse that I don't even like anymore after seeing these! *throws tantrum* I WAAAAANNNTT!!

I was seriously having second thoughts about the shades, wondering if it's more my taste than Mun's, because I love it... :S

Just a little while longer.

Today's post is gonna be a real quickie, but I'm gonna make it up to you with fun stuff over the next few days! And that's a promise. I'll keep it this time too.

I had 5 drafts waiting to be posted, and this is the one I chose. Unlucky you, eh. Anyway, my mom and dad just left for the airport, which is an hour and a half drive away from my sister's condominium in Damansara. My mom's flying back to Brunei today... alone.

Yep, you read that correctly. I'm not going with her. In a twist of events that I have mixed emotions about, I'm only going back to Brunei on Tuesday! And I'll only be in school by Wednesday. I've got myself a slightly extended holiday!

See, I don't know if I should be sad because I really miss everyone back home and all the fun stuff that's been happening and I can't wait to get back, or happy because I get to miss school and have a few extra days of holiday to kick back and relax. Both have their pros and cons...

Shit, I can't believe I'm turning this into ANOTHER DECISION!! Eff you, stupid prefrontal cortex!

P/S: I killed a huge fucking cockroach last night!!! I was happily watching Desperate Housewives on PPStream when I saw something scuttle across the kitchen floor. I've killed enough cockroaches to recognize one trying to get away! I leapt up and luckily there's a handy can of Shieldtox right next to the fridge.

The little bugger tried to run and hide for so long but I was eventually victorious!! Sprayed it for so long until whole kitchen stinky then trapped it under a pail for peace of mind. All while scolding it and calling it a stupid bastard! Yeah, I've got issues, so what? Like you don't?

The many faces of Michee Low.

(Michee Low Jia Yee, you should be honoured I named a blog post after you!) I'm sorry I haven't blogged the past few days, I felt really uninspired and PMS got the better of me. But anyway, before I tell you about my dear fun-sized friend, a little update on... who else but me?

I just came back to KL yesterday, by car again. This time with an extra person: my grandma. She wants to see the baby. Well, I guess that makes her a great-grandmother now since my parents are the new grandparents. Oh, halp, I feel old.

The trip was looong, the weather was bad and luckily, my phone battery lasted me the entire time because I charged it before leaving. I listened to music non-stop for 5 hours and the battery only went down by half! I love my Nokia. Then halfway to KL we stopped in Ipoh (Jesnie's hometown!) and my parents ate at the famous "tauge ayam kuewtiao" shop.

I was choosy and went to Kinta City to eat McDonald's. I had McNuggets :D But so annoying the person didn't give me the BBQ nuggets sauce. I hate incompetent counter workers who are slow, not polite and don't know how to give sauces!! I'm very particular okay. Brunei McDonald's is by far the worst ever!!!

Took some photos of scenery and stuff. They're quite useless, just to fill space and 'cause I think blog posts look so much nicer with photos. Also, they'll showcase how bad my phone camera sucks.

She so pandai tried to pretend to be her cousin and chat all kinds of weird things to me!!! But I totally knew it was her!! 'Cause I'm just so smart.

Shit, I left the saved convo in my PC in Penang!! Aiya, dammit! Now there won't be any proof and she'll get away with the crime! And she'll make everyone think I'm lying! You might think Jia Yee is so innocent and all right, but trust me, she's not. She's Micheevil!! Mwahahahaha. Just so you know, I'm the victim here!

I want to buy her a Little Miss Innocent t-shirt, got such thing or not? Or Little Miss Tall? Or Little Miss Cute also can. 'Cause she does a really good job of acting cute! You know what Michee, this should be your birthday post, but it's soooo premature!! By 2 whole months!

But nevermind, I still have the printscreens! And pictures of her on webcam! :D:D I shall triumph after all! Her webcam was very blurry, so forgive me, it isn't my fault.

P/S: WAAAAAAAHHHHH, I left my glyph rings in my house in Penang!!! SHEEEEETTT!! I only realized it when we reached Ipoh. OMG NOOOOOO, I can't imagine 3 months without my glyph rings... I wear those bloody things everyday!! My finger is gonna feel so naked till December :(:(
