See, told ya I would keep this up ;)
So, because Monday's a holiday and I'm going out today and tomorrow, I decided to paint my fingernails. A simple French manicure 'cause I didn't feel like doing anything elaborate for so few days. Then my mani turned into a seriously fugly mess! For some reason, Silkygirl's Ever Glossy is super slow drying! So imagine smudges, scratches and fingerprints :(:( All my hard work.
But anyway, the silver lining is that my nails look less shitty on camera than in real life, so I took photos!
I happen to have discovered a secret to creating perfect French mani nails that I'm gonna share with those of you who want the perfect curved tip but can never quite get it. Two words: reinforcement rings!
You can buy them from anywhere that sells stationery. I think I bought these at Giant (didn't know they have a website!) for my computer project last year, then had a lot left over. See, don't waste!
It comes in a roll and you pull on the, er... thingy and the ring pops out.
I think by now you can see where I'm going with this...
Cut it in half, stick it on your nail where you want to paint the tip and hey, presto!
Make sure you stick it on tightly so the polish doesn't leak under it. Remove it gently a few seconds after painting on the tip.
Easy, quick, and once you get the hang of it, it's foolproof, even for shaky hands like mine. Perfect curved tips every time. Now thank me.
Moving on from nails 'cause I know this bores a lot of you (though I have no idea why!), I've also discovered a way of listening to music in the shower. One of Jia Yee's posts inspired me to share this.
Apparently she sings and dances in the shower (sorry la Jia Yee, I went digging in your archives. But you should be honoured, means I like your blog a lot!), and so do I, but I have music too! I love listening to Lady Gaga and Britney Spears in the shower. Sometimes some hip hop...
What I do is I put my phone into a clear plastic bag and clip it up so it becomes waterproof. Then just put in on my toilet bowl cover, turn up the volume and tada! In-shower disco :D Cool, right?
(Er, please don't imagine me singing and dancing in the shower. It's weird and also disturbing! Not an image that you would want to have stuck in your head, trust me.)
While we're talking about the shower, that's the only time of the day that I get to see how long my hair actually is. Now, at full extension when it's wet, my hair is waist-length! I never thought in a million years that I'd ever have hair this long. When I run my fingers through it, it goes on forever. Guys, stop telling me to cut it, 'cause I won't! I like it too much super long.
Oh, and I got my POA paper back on Saturday, but postponed posting it till now. You know, I was kinda hoping my marks would be higher, because I worked really hard (albeit for two days only la) but I knew I screwed up the first question big time anyway.
And you know what? Jojo, who doesn't even freaking attend Mr Tan's class, got 49/50! That ccb. He goes to Mrs Lee's tuition... this might actually be solid, concrete proof that Mr Tan really undeniably is a bad teacher. He's screwing us all up. I want 49/50 too! :(
I'm super happy about my perfect last page though! :D
