Blond Amsterdam!

I love my latest Google Chrome theme! It brightens my day the moment I start up my Chrome browser :D

Cute widdle chewwies.

Download Google Chrome here, and get yourself colourful Chrome themes here! Lol I'm such a fanatic Google Chrome evangelist. But it's the only browser that's fast and doesn't hang on my poor laggy computer so... much choice, I do not have.

Using my helpful friend Google to find a way to download Facebook videos so I can upload the videos Jesnie took at Nick's house into my next blog post. I'm so thankful to her for recording videos, now I'll have visual memories of Nick for life!

I dunno what's happening to me, but I've hopped on the Facebook bandwagon again. Gotten back up on the Facebook horse. This is weird, I'd abandoned Facebook for so long. Is it good to be back? I'll probably be gone again in a few days hahah.

Exam results were not bad :) I got 3, 3, 4, 4, 5, 5, 6, 6... this is assuming I credited Add Maths la. I know I shouldn't assume (y'know, ass of u and me and stuff like that), but it makes my grades sound so much cuter!

No A's <=( Now I really wish I'd been less careless in my Physics practical cause I missed out on an A in Physics by just 1 mark! But overall it's a HUGE improvement over last year's Mid-Year Exam and I'm a happy camper.

Chrome Extensions, Oprah/BEP's flashmob and Café World.

Everybody already knows I'm an avid advocate of Google Chrome, ever since I ditched Mozilla Firefox. Because Chrome is just that much better. Well recently, Google Chrome gave me, and you, even more reasons to love it.

One thing I always thought was cool about Firefox (besides the themes) was something called "add-ons" or "extensions". Basically they're tools or applications that you can add to your browser to make it do more stuff. Google Chrome didn't have that.

Until now! Yay, Google Chrome I love you for finally having extensions! Here are some of the ones which I think are cooler and more useful and that I'll definitely get.

Google Reader Notifier (by Google) by reader.chrome.notifier
Displays the number of unread items in your Google Reader account. Clicking can show a preview popup or open your Reader account.
I sometimes use Google Reader to read the blogs/websites I'm following (you can see this on your Dashboard if you're a blogger) because it's fast and convenient as you can see all the latest posts from each website one after another.

Google Mail Checker by extensions@chromium.org
Displays the number of unread messages in your Google Mail inbox. You can also click the button to open your inbox.
For people who use Gmail. Although this would be pretty useless to me :D Cause I don't bother to read/delete unimportant messages, so I have 1600 unread mail xD

Bubble Translate by bubble.translate
Bubble Translate extension By v1c1ous (bubble.translate@gmail.com).
So I won't have to open a new tab and load the Yahoo! Babelfish or Google Translate websites when I wanna translate words or webpages :)

Chromed Bird by cezarsa
Chromed Bird is a Twitter extension that allows you to follow your timelines and interact with your Twitter account.
So I can keep a close eye on all my new tweets with instant auto updates no matter what I'm doing without having to keep switching to my Twitter webpage tab every few minutes and pressing refresh!

IE Tab by ietab@blackfishsoftware.com
Display web pages using IE in a Google Chrome tab.
For some annoying but important websites that refuse to load properly on anything other then lousy Internet Explorer!

Facebook Notifications by kylecorbitt
This extension checks for new notifications, tells you how many you have, and lets you view them without ever visiting the site.
For Facebook addicts (I'm an ex :D) who want to know immediately when someone writes something on their wall or comments on a photo of them!

Facebook for Google Chrome by benhiller
Extension which lets you read your Facebook news feed and wall. You can also post status updates.
Another one for the Facebook lovers :P

Lyrics - YouTube by info@metroleap.com
Get music lyrics for youtube music videos.  Over 3 million tracks of song lyrics.
Useful when you're listening to music on YouTube and you wanna sing along.

MegaUpload DownloadHelper by YevgenyAndrov
No More Countdowns - Automatic Downloads.
Because I am damn sibeh impatient and hate waiting for the MegaUpload website!

Bit.ly (shorten, share, and track your links) by extensions@bit.ly
Shorten and share links with bit.ly. Preview the full URLs short urls point to.
So that when I'm not using Tweetdeck (which converts URLs automatically to bit.ly links), I won't have to painstakingly open the bit.ly website in order to shortern URLs that I wanna tweet!

Google Dictionary Lookup by max99x
Ctrl-Double-Click any word to look it up in Google Dictionary.
When I want to know the definition of the word, it's faster than opening a new tab to Google it or search for it on Wikipedia.

Chromepad by jsprlundsgaard
A small extension that lets you to take quick notes and save them for later.
So useful for me!! I usually use Notepad to jot down notes or website links while I'm online then I save the file and end up with a lot of useless Notepad files which I can't understand later on! Now I can use this instead.

Favorite Doodle by tiffanylane
Replaces Google's logo with your favorite doodle.
And this is just for fun, because doesn't the Google logo get boring to look at after some time? :)

Download your favourite Google Chrome extensions HERE!

To be able to use all these cool Chrome Extensions, you need the latest beta version of Google Chrome which you can very quickly download here: Google Chrome (Beta).

Okay, now for something really cool!

Are you familiar with the term "flashmob"? And no, it has nothing to do with obscene flashing. Lol. This is the definition according to Wikipedia:
A flash mob (or flashmob) is a large group of people who assemble suddenly in a public place, perform an unusual action for a brief time, then quickly disperse.

A few days ago, I saw one of the coolest things on the Oprah Show! A Black Eyed Peas concert was organized by the Harpo staff in Chicago to kick off the Oprah Show's 24th year, and it turned out to be a surprise flashmob choreographed dance for Oprah!

The Black Eyed Peas performed I Gotta Feeling and the entire street was filled with a crowd of 20,000 people, then suddenly one girl in blue at the very front begins dancing and everyone else stands still. And then the magic starts to happen.

Read about it here on the Oprah website!

Oprah and the Black Eyed Peas.

The people who signed up to learn the dance and be a part of the flashmob.

Yes, 20,000 freaking dancing people.

Can you imagine how awesome it looked?! Luckily you don't have to imagine it. I rajin-ly embedded the video from YouTube!

You have to watch it! It's absolutely incredible and probably the coolest thing you'll see in a long time. And it will not fail to make you smile. The ending is the best! :)

And last but not least, I've lately become addicted to Cafe World all over again! I stopped during exam time and fell out of the loop, but the boredom of holidays has drawn me back :D

This is what my pink and brown Juicy Couture-themed cafe looks like now after some redecoration. Chio not! Only used up 100,000 coins so now I wanna buy loads of useless decorations! Hehe.

Who wants to start playing Cafe World and be my neighbour?? :D *turns to stare at Jia Yee*

New Google Chrome themes!

Was considering doing my contact lens post today, but that still needs to be worked on and I'm kind of pressed for time. I need to catch up on new episodes of Dollhouse and Smallville, and maybe some others already by now.

So, instead, I'll show you my new Google Chrome theme! Inspired by Jesnie who also showed off her's called Pocoyo on her blog.

Mine is hot pink with orange hearts and it's called Agatha Ruiz de la Prada (the name is so long, I know. Don't even bother trying to remember it. I can't). It's so chio!
Photobucket

Even my mom is using one of the new themes! Her's is called Matthew Williamson (must be the designer's name).
Photobucket

If you're a Google Chrome user, then lucky for you! They recently released a ton of really nice new themes. Hop on over to https://tools.google.com/chrome/intl/en/themes/index.html to pick a new theme for your Google Chrome browser.

Even if you don't use Google Chrome, just go and check out all the cool themes that it offers. I'm hoping it'll convince you lazy people/skeptics to switch to Google Chrome, because Chrome really is awesome!

This is what the webpage looks like on my hated Mozilla Firefox browser...
Photobucket

As you can see, there's even a fierce leopard print one made by Dolce & Gabbana! And themes from a lot of other famous fashion labels like Anna Sui, Vivienne Westwood, Donna Karan, Oscar de la Renta, Badgley Mischka, Kate Spade and Lilly Pulitzer, for all you fashion addicts.

But that's not all they have. There is definitely something for everyone. Plus there's also a handy link at the top to download the latest Google Chrome 3.0.195.3. So go!

Happy Chroming! :)

Boredom = movie marathon.

This is really a post full of lots of little things thrown into one... I'm gonna try make it as interesting as possible.

We'll start with the movie marathon I had! Anek Joe has quite the extensive DVD collection and I didn't really know where to start. So I picked something that my fatty sister told me was nice...
Photobucket

Stranger Than Fiction! And I almost fell asleep watching it... I found it so boring! Also, I don't like Will Farrell. Just so you know, I find it hard to watch movies that have actors I dislike.

Photobucket

Then I watched The Hottie and the Nottie on Star Movies. It's been a long time since I've been able to watch Star Movies. Was bliss! You would think a Paris Hilton movie would suck, but it was actually surprisingly sweet. And I love makeovers.

Photobucket

After that I watched Night at the Museum 2, cause I never got to see it in the cinema. I don't usually like Ben Stiller but it was fun! I really enjoyed Amy Adams' performance, she reminded me a lot of Nicole Kidman, with a bit of Audrey Hepburn from Breakfast at Tiffany's thrown in.

Photobucket

Then just now I watched the first Chronicles of Narnia, which I've never seen before. It was nice, but I think I liked the second one just a tiny bit better. Anybody know how many there are altogether?

There's still a lot of other movies I want to watch, like Dark Knight, Love Actually, Music & Lyrics, Bridget Jones' Diary, Wild, The Break-up and the LOTR trilogy (Ya Wen! My brother-in-law has all 3 in high-def full screen DVD :D). Gonna spread it out over my holidays.

I Konadicured my toenails yesterday! Hot pink with white flowers from m57... but too bad I can't take any high quality photos 'cause I didn't bring along my digital camera. Good thing too, it would've probably got stolen anyway.
Photobucket
So happy I had KFC's Cheezy BBQ Meltz for the first time in ages for dinner yesterday! It was heaven. I hate that Brunei doesn't have it. And I can't believe Jesnie's only eaten KFC once in her entire life! You're missing out, Jes.

And guess what?! Google Chrome now has THEMES!! YEAYYY!!! I'm using 'Candy' and it's all pinky. Mwahahaha, I'm never using Mozilla Firefox ever again! Chrome is so superior.

Shitbags, the ulcer in my mouth has turned into a gigantic raging monster!! :( Hurts like hell and I didn't have Bonjela till I made my dad go out and buy it for me... it's miraculous for pain relief. And I didn't know you can overdose on Bonjela! Says so on the box.

When my sister said her house has a ton of 'mozzies' (mosquitoes), she wasn't exaggerating... I've been bitten a million times... even on my face! So freaking itchy :( Now I know how to councillors felt at the school camp...

Discovered yesterday that tragically, my beloved Loreal Paris hair mousse has turned into milk! All liquidy... when it's supposed to be foam! Still works fine though :D I wasn't expecting to need it anymore this month and now it's running out... so gonna have to replace it again.

I'll let you know in my next post what I've decided to do with my hair.

P/S: Forgot to mention I watched the season 4 finale of Bones... it was so OH MY GOD!!! Like wth, why do the producers of the show keep doing evil things like this to the show's devotees and always something bad happens to Booth... I feel like chi sat-ing already! :( I need the next season NOW!!
