Major excitement.

MAJOR EXCITEMENT.

This has got to be like the most excitement filled day of my life. I'm going to buy shoes tomorrow! Shoes, plural. Woohoo! These 2 super-gorgeous pairs. One's black and pink heeled slippers from Voir and the other's white and clear peep-toe sling-back platforms from Vincci. So fierce. All for a total of only B$30. God, I love shopping in Malaysia!

I'm also going to buy my new mobile phone tomorrow! Hehe. Yay! I can't wait. I'm so in love with that phone. It's like... my dream phone. Like, literally, I even had a dream about it. Lulz. It's hard to find such a functionally perfect phone, and pink too! Like a match made in heaven, me and it. *jumps around happily* I can't wait for tomorrow.

Also, PMB exam results are coming out on Monday!!! Oh my God!! Meeps. I'm so scared + excited + nervous at the same time. I'm going totally nuts here. So many things happening. I'm so not going to be able to sleep at all tonight and tomorrow night. xD

Oh, I was reading an issue of Seventeen magazine Malaysia the other day. It's really cleaned up it's act. It's finally got itself clued in to the whole eco/environmental thing, which is great. It's a lot more like the American one now.

It also introduced me to Malaysian online clothes shopping which is like... a dream. Shopping without ever having to leave your home! Although some of the fun of shopping lies in walking for hours, carrying around tuns of huge shopping bags, and cramming into stores to wrestle among other people for the stuff you want :P

I kinda need to paint my nails. I'm going for black and white. I already did one coat last night but I've been too lazy to bring myself to paint the second coat. Meh. Tomorrow lah. I'm sure I'll wake up early 'cause I'm too excited anyway. I also need to give myself a pedicure so my feet'll look hawt in my new shoes. xD

I'm trying to decide what shampoo I should use for this grey-period between having straight hair but no more of my Wella Professionals BioTouch straight shampoo and getting my hair curled and needing curly hair shampoo. I'm thinking either Tresemme Salon Silk or Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight...

Oh, by the way, I wasn't in the mood to blog this two days ago but... Happy birthday, Ashee!! I hope it was a good one and remember to come back to Brunei to visit us someday :)

Anyway, I'll be off now to bounce off the walls in excitement by myself. Pictures of all the new stuff will be up by Monday. Adios, everyone.

P/S: I'm going to watch Twilight with my sister tomorrow at Queensbay Mall ^^ I wonder if it'll be nice...

The Jared shoe.

THE JARED SHOE.

So, there’s a small feature on 30 Seconds To Mars in the December issue of the AstroView magazine under the Music section. It’s a little column with a band photo for the MTV Top 100 Hits of 2008 thingy. Interesting things they mentioned. See it here.

Me and Mun begila BubbleTalk with each other. Very nothing better to do one. Talking nonsense as usual. And I got my CallerTune yesterday. I ended up settling for The Fantasy, although now I think I might get A Beautiful Lie too. Just for fun ;)

Oh bleh, there was this giant lizard in my kitchen sink that wouldn’t move. I couldn’t even wash the dishes. I don't know why I don't like lizards. They're so big and fat and slimy... *shudders*

Imma go line up 1825463 song and movie downloads. Might as well take advantage of this speedy internet while I’ve got it. And I'm enjoying my speakers... I haven't listened to music from speakers for a long time since my speakers in Brunei went bust :(
And it’s high time I downloaded and watched ABL 2.0 from start to end.

Ahh, Bolt’s opening in cinemas tomorrow and I wanna watch. But no one to go watch with. Sigh. I wonder when it's premiering in Brunei...

Gah! My stupid iPod is giving me problems as usual. It won’t connect properly to my PC. For some reason my PC can’t detect that it’s there. I knew I should’ve had it looked at before the warranty expired. Darn.

(Disclaimer: You don’t have to read this bit if you don’t want to.)
And oh, I realized I never told the story of the Jared shoes. It’s… pretty bizarre. First, let me introduce you to what we call the Jared shoe.
So, I was at the LCCT airport in KL yesterday, and at the check-in line there was this guy behind me in the line and I’m looking at him because, well, I’m a starer, okay, I admit it. He’s Malay, I think. Obviously a rock music fan.
And my eyes travelled down, down, and then blam! The shoes. He was wearing the Jared shoes! My first impulse thought was to take a picture of it. It’s the very first time I’d ever seen someone wearing the exact shoe.
I was so shocked and stunned and all that. And pretty excited to see it in the flesh, other than at the shoe store. His were really white and clean, except for the suede bit. A stark difference compared to, well, Jared’s dirty, scuffed shoes.
So, I stare at them a bit more and then I leave. I’m still on a bit of a high and I wonder if I should go back and find him and take a picture of his shoes. Then I figured that’d be a kinda weird thing to do. So, no. I get over it and move on. Just with the notion that I now really, really want those shoes, as opposed to before, which was just one really.
Then, and this is the best part, get this: At the bag screening place in the domestic departures area, I suddenly notice that the guy standing in front of me is, you guessed it, also wearing the Jared shoes! I couldn’t help but just stare with my mouth open. His were dirtier than the other guy’s.
But anyway, I couldn’t believe. Two different people, both wearing the Jared shoes, in the same building on the same day. I just had a total field day. Needless to say, I was a very happy camper when I boarded my plane a little while later.

And oh, by the way, happy 15th birthday Molly! :)

Now I’m off to continue browsing iPod skins. I’m thinking of buying two — one 30 Seconds To Mars Mithra one, and another one… maybe pink or something.
*floats away happily*

P/S: My MSN's working, yay!

Touchdown.

TOUCHDOWN.

I arrived in Penang today :)

The flight from KL was faster than usual. I was listening to S/T on my iPod when it took off and I only managed to finish Echelon before the dude told me to turn it off for landing. That's 6 songs, by the way, for those of you who don't know.

So yeah, I'm back at home with my darling internet now. *hugs it* Except my stupid MSN won't sign me in! I feel like killing it. So right now I'm dashing between my computer and my dad's laptop. His MSN, on the other hand, does work. *annoyed*

I haven't done much since I came back. I ate KFC Cheesy Meltz yesterday and McDonald's Chicken McNuggets today for the first time in a long time. Like, yum. They don't sell 'em in Brunei. Now I want like, Dunkin' Donuts and Auntie Anne's. Mmm...

Oh, I haven't posted anything about Speech Day, huh? Well, it was boring, as expected. Miss Jane made her 1st speech as principal. She only took 20 mins, thank God. An extremely wonderful improvement over Mr Chin's 45 min speeches. They were fun though, the way everyone always started clapping to try to get him to stop talking...

Err... what?

Angels and Airwaves are playing a concert in Singapore on Dec 7th... Mattiee But I don't have anyone to go with (*gives Jai death stare*... xD). *pouts* So yeah, not gonna be happening. Oh well, the thought of seeing Matt was nice while it lasted. I even kinda like the band. Tiny-talks-a-lot. xD

Anyway, I'm off to go and get myself a 30 Seconds To Mars CallerTune for my phone. It's a throwdown between A Beautiful Lie and The Fantasy...
It also happens to be time for a very late dinner. Um, kolo mee anyone?
And I also gotta restart my wacked-up computer. Sigh.

At long last.

AT LONG LAST.

I’m back in Malaysia. Finally! *dances around* Hip, hip, hooray! Civilization at last. Not to mention INTERNET. *drools everywhere* Ain’t nobody getting me away from this computer ever again.

Unless if it’s to buy shoes or an S/T. Hehe.

It’s been pretty uneventful ‘cept very tejumpa Mun yesterday
di KL Sentral. We menghayal kajap. Now trying to figure out how to work this Bubble Talk ‘cause she wants it. I seem to be suffering from some memory loss because I know that at one point in my life, I did know how.

Also, I’m getting myself a 30 Seconds To Mars CallerTune. I just can’t decide which song to use because they have all of A Beautiful Lie. I can’t believe I didn’t realize this earlier. That DiGi would have them (the songs), I mean.
So yeah, all I want now are 30STM ringtones.

I’m still in KL. Somewhere in Petaling Jaya. Just a stone’s throw (give or take a few kilometers) from One Utama and The Curve and I WANNA GOOO!! Mainly so I can buy a copy of S/T but also, naturally, because well, it’s jumbo shopping malls… My homeland. *pines*

I’m flying to Penang tomorrow at noon. Can’t wait to get home and start putting my broadband internet to good use. Oh, Bolt (the movie) is premiering on Thursday and I WANNA WATCH! Dunno about Twilight, haven’t checked.

Oh, there’re these new uber-exclusive white Seraphim Division 30 Seconds To Mars wristbands out. Only 1000 of them, and for those who’ve purchased from the online merch store before. They’ve got these access codes but I don’t get one ‘cause even though I bought stuff from the store, it was under Jai’s name. Sigh. Not like I could buy the wristband anyway, pretty as they are… they’re U$40 each.
Jai, you lucky betch. You’d better watch out, Imma sneak into your house in the middle of the night and steal it. *ph34r*

I was supposed to buy S/T today but thanks to my dad (*rolls eyes*), I’m not gonna be able to buy it myself ‘cause I won’t have anymore time. *pouts* You see, they don’t sell it in Penang. You can only get it at this one store. And of my knowledge, those stores are only in KL.

But nevermind, the bottomline is that I’ll still be getting it in the end. Or actually, by this time next week. Yipee. No more illegal 30 Seconds To Mars music for me.
Now, to wait for the third album… SOON. xD

Anyway, time to watch McLeod's Daughters. There's no excuse for missing it.
Later.

P/S: Oh, you know, I had no idea that Kate and Patrick used to be together in (I think) season 6. Like, :O So strange to watch. I've always only thought of him with Tayler because they're so sweet together. Lulz.

Rabid people.

RABID PEOPLE.

(Written on Friday, 21/11 @ approx 7.30 pm)

So. I went to watch Quarantine today. Stupidest bloody movie I’ve ever seen in my life. No, wait, I take that back. High School Musical is the stupidest movie I’ve ever seen. But Quarantine’s a close second. Why are Brunei cinemas not showing Twilight? Idiots.

I saw Barry at the cineplex. Him and his friends turned out to be the noisiest and craziest people in the cinema. It was pretty hilarious. You had to be there to know. What was supposed to be some gory horror flick turned into a crazy-ass comedy. Fun.

Anyway, I’m so damn pissed about all this farewell lunch/dinner/party/whatever-the-f*ck-it-is… I was gonna type 2 long paragraphs full of expletives to vent but I decided not to. It’s a really long story and I won’t even be around when they have it so it doesn’t involve me anymore (yet I’m still wrapping the chocolates, writing the invites and hand-delivering everything) and I don’t give a damn what happens. The end.

In other news: Yay yay, I’m going back to Malaysia on Sunday! FINALLY. Seriously, that is the only thing keeping me sane right now. This week has been so hectic, which is why I haven’t been online at all.

W00t, Vince and Sam won TARA 3! I’m glad Geoff and Tisha didn’t win. Geoff is the most annoying git I’ve ever seen in my life. Actually no, one of the most annoying. Poor Tish, I wonder how she can stand him.

I haven’t done anything on my to-do-before-November-23rd list because of the planning of the stupid farewell which I won’t even be attending after all. Dumb right?

And oh, I never mentioned that I went to Coffee Bean with Ya Wen and Chai last Saturday. Lulz. It was pretty funny. The secrets of the universe! xD

Also went bowling (randomness) with Munibah and Nazirah on Monday. It was… chaos. Although I won! Nyahaha. We ended up having to walk home in the rain and my feet nearly fell off. Torture, I tell you. I’m never walking anywhere ever again. Unless it’s air-conditioned.

So, tonight I need to wrap all the chocolates, write all the invitations… and like, kill myself. I have an early morning tomorrow to attend pointless Speech Day rehearsal. Blegh.
I haven’t even packed my luggage for Sunday yet. It’s always a struggle deciding which shoes to bring with me and which to leave behind…

I WANNA GO ONLINE!!!
AND I WANNA PLAY SIMS!!!
AND I WANNA BUY THE DECEMBER ISSUE OF SEVENTEEN!!! (But stupid Brunei bookstores don’t sell them yet. Why do I gotta live in such a backward country anyway?!)
AND I DON’T WANNA DO ANYTHING TO DO WITH THAT DUMB USELESS FAREWELL!!!

ARGGHH!!!

Um, okay… maybe some of that psycho rabid-ness crossed over from the cinema screen into me.
Or maybe it’s PMS.

Three Saturdays: A lesson in philosophy.

THREE SATURDAYS: A LESSON IN PHILOSOPHY.

(Written on Saturday, 15/11)

I counted and it’s the third Saturday since PMB finished. I think it hasn’t quite sank in that it’s really over, and I’m really free. It’s like I’ve been sitting around waiting for something to happen, waiting for something to start.

Either that or waiting for my eyes to pop out from all the TV I’m watching.

But I’m sure it’ll be a good feeling when I finally come to my senses. Assuming I do, of course.

Maybe it’ll happen when I get back to Malaysia. Only 8 more days to go. It’s weird how quick it is. The moment you’ve been waiting for and anticipating. It’s finally arriving.

Or maybe when we have our class end-of-year farewell thingy. Whatever you wanna call it. It’s a bit sad and I can’t quite believe that we’re never going to be a class again. A lot of people are leaving and I’ll never see them again. This what they call a crossroads? A fork in the path?

Perhaps it’ll be when we get our PMB results (they’re saying it could be as soon as 29 November O.O). Ah yes, the final piece of the… well, I can’t really call it a puzzle, can I? The last page in the chapter. The end of the beginning.

I guess you could say it’s a pretty interesting time in my life.

Deep stuff, people. Deep stuff.

Oh, and where did all this philosophical psycho-babble come from? I was clearing out my old school stuff today. Got rid of most of it, and I’ll be at it again tomorrow. It made me realize that 2008 is gonna be over really soon.

I liked 2008.

Next year will be a whole new year. New. And different. It’s change. You can embrace it, or you can hate it.

Meh. I’m feeling emo today.

Insert title here.

INSERT TITLE HERE.

(Written on Wednesday, 12/11 or Thursday, 13/11… whichever way you wanna look at it)

It’s 3.45 am and I’m dead bored. My body refuses to feel sleepy. And I just realized I was planning to call Mun a half hour ago but now it’s kinda too late. Rats. I like after-midnight phone rates.

So, I might be going to Empire on Sunday. We (my class) are planning on basking in the wonders of Sunday Splash (a.k.a. telanjangness) then watching a movie. Sort of a last-thing-we-do-together-as-a-class thing. I think the movie’s gonna be Madagascar (crap).

Oh, so I was playing TS2 today, and I just remembered that little thing called Career Rewards. So I got this uber-cool bookcase courtesy of my wife/mom Evangeline who’s in Education.
Get this: the bookcase lets you study all the 7 skills instead of just the conventional 3, and it only takes 1 Sim hour to gain a skill point. With the help of a Thinking Cap, of course. I can’t believe I didn’t get the stupid bookcase earlier.
Remind me next time that Education is a stellar career for a Sim. Regular hours, good pay, few work days, less skills required and great benefits.

I still haven’t decided what I want to “buy” in exchange for my Echelon House donation. You’d think I’d have gotten used to my indecisiveness by now. I feel like changing my mind about those badges. I hope Lily’s understanding. She’s basically the one who runs the whole thing.
And oh oh, the Echelon House got a mention in the Habitat For Humanity Autumn newsletter. Yay, more press. And they got the name 30 Seconds To Mars correct. They usually fail at that. Tsk.

Anyway, I’m gonna start the countdown. 10 more days till I’m outta this country! Whoopee! Mere words cannot express how much I want that day to come.

But before November 23rd, I need to:
- Clear out all my old books and papers and crap (a task which I am not looking forward to),
- Cross-stitch meself some phone charms (if I could only find that darn needle),
- Stick a freaking glyph on my bedroom door (do you think double-sided tape would do the trick?),
- Buy a Seventeen magazine (a throwdown between this month’s issue and December’s),
- Leech songs from Mun (too lazy to download them myself),
- Have one last Coffee Bean Ice Blended (and preferably also some cake…),
- Play Sims till I go wacko (because I can),
- Make my effing HFH donation! (my dad’s telling me my — fat — sister maxed out the credit card)

Oh, and btw, happy birthday Ya Wen. You crazy, sarcastic, funny, ebiill, Formula 1 and MCR-loving, stupid joke-making, pink-hating, smarty-pants who likes elbowing people in the ribs.
Have a good one, Miss I’m-now-a-decade-and-a-half-old.

… Aren’t I just so nice and considerate? xD

I like to move it, move it.

I LIKE TO MOVE IT, MOVE IT.

(Written on Tuesday, 11/11)

Went to Mall on Sunday with Munibah and si Duan (menghayal). We watched Madagascar 2 which turned out to be stupidly hilarious.

There was a whole rombongan of annoying little kiddies watching it too. And to make matters even better (not), we were forced to sit in row L. For those who seldom go to the cinema, that’s the row at the very front, nearest to the screen. I had to crane my neck just to be able to see the bottom half of the screen.

Oh well, at least no one kicked the back of my chair or spilt their drink on me and there were those metal bars for me to put my legs up on. Good enough for me, since the movie was free.

Then I slept over at Mun’s because we both have nothing better to do. She made me watch Titanic with her… again. I’m sorry, but watching a frostbitten Leonardo DiCaprio die over and over again gets a bit old after some time.
“Jack, come back, come back!”

And… I wanna buy a new phone! A pink one. Nokia. I’m sick of Samsung. They’re pretty, yeah, but stupid.

Photobucket
Behold, the 6120! Only B$300 xP

I was thinking of buying this month’s Seventeen magazine until I saw who’s on the cover. Ashley Tisdale. Nuh-uh, Miley Cyrus I can stand but not Ashley Tisdale.

I finally got some quality time with my Simmies ^^ I think something wack is going on with it though.
- Neighbours (2 in particular) keep popping up in random places in my house and then mysteriously disappearing.
- My family's teenage daughter Alexis brought home a toddler(!) from school.
- My family’s wife/mom Evangeline brought home some really pregnant lady from work. I didn’t think there was anything wrong with that until I realized pregnant women don’t go to work.

And in other news…
- Every one of my 8 tomato plants didn't survive the winter and died before I could harvest them *le pout*
- My pet dog Mirabelle now goes to work in a limo.
- Social services took away my family's twin kids Seth and Vanessa after they accidentally froze to death making snowmen. This was followed by me not saving my game.
- And my dog makes almost as much money as my family's husband/father Luke. Remind me next time that a career in medicine is a sucky choice for a Sim.

I think I have a picture of my Sim house around here somewhere. It was Malcolm Landgraab’s mansion in Bluewater Village. That is, until I decided I wanted it so I evicted him, remodelled it and moved my family in.

Strange things that human beings do.

STRANGE THINGS THAT HUMAN BEINGS DO.

(Written on Saturday, 8/10)
It turns out that watching the MTV EMAs for over 2 hours at full volume yesterday was a good way to give myself a God-awful headache. And I didn’t even like the show that much.
I officially hate Katy Perry. I swear I grew old listening to Bono’s extremely long and boring speech about Paul McCartney. “He only got the award because John Lennon couldn’t make it.” Lol. And there were a lot of bad live performances.
One of my favourite moments was when a European presenter said that Bill (Tokio Hotel) looked like Boy George. I howled my ass off. Others include some of the VIP bar moments and watching Pink near the end get swarmed by fans and smothered by pillows. I like her.
And of course, Shannon jumping on Tomo and Jared shoving Tomo when they won Video Star. Might I just add: poor abused Tomo? xD Our dear lumberjacks with their matching Obama shirts… T’was awesome.
Jared looked like a drunk teenager. He just kept talking and talking and interrupting everyone, nearly put me to sleep. I don't exactly think it was his brightest moment.
Purple jeans… nice. xD
I was watching MTV just now (which is pretty rare for me these days) and it just so happened that Boiling Points was on. They have a Malaysian edition now which is freaking cool. It’s so hilarious.
A bit scary to think it could happen to me. But seriously, if I was in that position, I would just go crazy and whack the person and start yelling my head off at them. I cannot tahan stuff like that. Which means I’ll probably never win RM200. Sigh.

We won!!

WE WON!!

(Written on 7/11 @ approx. 9.45 am)

WE WON!!! We won, we won. We won! YESS!! *does a crazy dance* Omfg, w00t! It’s effing awesome. Man, this feels good. Two new MTV awards… sweet! I can’t wait to watch it tonight on MTV.

30 Seconds To Mars won the Rock Out award (2 years straight!) as expected. It’s not very often — actually never — that we lose a viewer-voted award. It just doesn’t happen. But 30STM also bagged Video Star, which is like… wow.

See, the winner for it is chosen by MTV. And MTV never picks us, ever. Until now. I guess you’d be pretty damned to go and film a music video in the Arctic and then not have MTV pick it for their Video Star award. That thing deserves all the credit it can get.

Okay, I’m in a zOmg-amazing mood so I’ll be nice. Other winners of the night were Pink (Most Addictive Track), Tokio Hotel (Headliner), Kanye West (Ultimate Urban), Lil' Wayne (Artists' Choice), Britney Spears (Act of 2008 & Album of the Year), Paul McCartney (Ultimate Legend), Emre Aydin (Europe's Favourite Act), Katy Perry (New Act) and Rick Astley (Best Act Ever).

30 Seconds To Mars acceptance videos here (Rock Out) and here (Video Star), and everything else about the EMAs can be found, as usual, here.

So anyway, the new season of Heroes premiered last night. Yay. But I’m so totally not okay with 1 episode a week on Star World. So yeah, I’m getting my hands on some downloaded stuff asap.

I just realized that it’s only been 7 days since PMB finished. It feels like so much longer. In fact, sitting in the hall with those exam papers feels like friggin’ ages ago. You know, I think all that crap we went through really was worth it.

I can’t believe I haven’t accomplished a single thing. Although, in my defence, it’s only been a week. Bwahahah.
All I’ve done so far is watch a crappy movie at the cinema (don’t even ask), get my hair curled and do my nails. And watch so much TV, my eyeballs are gonna melt in their sockets.
Don’t imagine that.

The nails, by the way, happen to be blood red. What can I say, I was bored. And it’s pretty fierce.
On that note, I miss Christian Siriano. When’s the new season of Project Runway coming anyway? :(

Which reminds me, the latest cycle of America’s Next Top Model is so… I’m sorry, I don’t really want to use the word ‘fierce’ again, it’s a bit tacky. Feroshia? xD Sometimes there’s no other word for it… fierce! Except I wish I could clock Hannah over the head with something heavy. God.

Lalala, breakfast time. I’m so high on adrenaline I think skipping it wouldn’t matter. But yeah, before my dad starts screaming…

P/S: w00t, Obama won the election! And yeah, he does kinda sound like Vin Diesel… xD

Laziness.

LAZINESS.

The 2008 MTV Europe Music Awards is tomorrow in Liverpool. Or actually early Friday morning our time if you count the time difference (I’ve become a leading expert in time zones lately). And I’m a nervous wreck waiting for it.

God, I wish I could watch the live streaming on the EMAs website and I wanted to vote a lot more (though I have utmost faith in those who did vote) but nuuu, I don’t have internet. Hmpf. It’s times like this when that really sucks.

Actually, no… it pretty much always sucks.

Thank God MTV Asia is premiering the show on Friday, or else I would die. But it’s already old news to us that MTV loves to ‘edit’ their awards shows, a.k.a. remove all the fun parts, before airing them. Idiots.

30 Seconds To Mars is going against Metallica, Linkin Park, Paramore and Slipknot for Rock Out and Madonna, Snoop Dogg, Weezer and Santogold for Video Star. They're also going to be hosting the VIP bar. Haha. That should be fun to watch.
So yeah, I’m pretty excited and restless from the anticipation. Rock Out two years in a row would be nice.

I’ve decided to donate £10 to The House That The Echelon Built (or the houses that the Echelon is building) / the Echelon House (or houses). I guess when Lily named it, she thought there’d only be 1, not 8 and counting. That’s almost £10,000 (about B$30,000) in total funds raised, all thanks to the Echelon.

I wanna donate more, but my parents will grumble about wasting money. Seriously. Wasting. I personally don’t consider donating money to a non-profit organization to build houses for the homeless and extremely poor as ‘wasting’. It’s called charity for God’s sake.

Anywho, I’m ‘buying’ these two promotional badges in exchange. So, yay me. xD

Aku na tau what to write. Been such a lazy ass since the exams finished. I’m supposed to be dealing with all my old school-stuff that I won’t be needing anymore but there’s like a freaking truckload of it. And I’m not exactly enthusiastic about it.

I was also planning to sew — yes, sew — 30STM phone charms, but I haven’t even started. Yet. Maybe I should make a whole bunch and let them be ‘sold’ (or actually give them away) in exchange for donations to the Echelon House. I think that’d be nice.

And I haven’t even gotten a chance to play Sims 2. At all. Boo hoo.
I’ve been really pre-occupied. I just don’t know with what. I think I’ve been spending a lot of time thinking. Mostly thinking about what I should buy in Malaysia next month. As in, shopping. Ü
And like, wondering about PMB results... :S

Lewis (and Glock), you @#$%^!

LEWIS (AND GLOCK), YOU @#$%^!

(Disclaimer: You need not bother to read the following post, especially if you are not interested in Formula 1.)

A random (and uber-long) documentation of the entire 18th race of the season at the Interlagos circuit in Sao Paulo:

The very last race of the Formula 1 season was late yesterday night. Before the race, they had a drivers parade around the track which was pretty sweet. And Kimi apparently cried when he saw a replay of his own amazing victory there a year ago. It was to be his final day and race as reigning world champion. (Schniffle.)

And what an insanely nerve-wracking race it was. Rain brought on a flurry of drama. Throughout the entire race, although with heart-pounding moments (in which I screamed and Nicole Scherzinger looked like she was about to pass out), Massa remained at the front of the pack and Hamilton just within winning range.

As the number of laps remaining and the chance for Lewis Hamilton to foul up began to dwindle away, I started getting more and more desperate and panicky. And then everything changed in a split second just a few laps before the end of the race. What I’d been hoping and wishing and praying for since the start of the race began to unfold.

Vettel got promisingly close to Hamilton and by the time he started trying to overtake him to get into 5th, which would leave Lewis in 6th, the losing postiton, I was openly weeping and screaming, begging Vettel to overtake him. After Vettel did so in an amazing stroke of luck, I just started crying and hyperventilating so badly. I couldn’t breathe at all. Kubica did his part to help Massa by running Hamilton wide in his attempts to unlap himself. Massa was going to win the championship!

The next two laps was just pure agony, hoping and praying and begging Vettel to hold on till the finish line. And then, against all the odds, it looked like Hamilton was on course to having the championship taken from him once again except this time not by Raikkonen but the other Ferrari driver, Felipe Massa.

When Massa crossed the finish line, the chequered flag being waving for him and Vettel in sight of crossing the line ahead of Hamilton who was in 6th, I leapt from the sofa and jumped up and down and began screaming and crying in pure joy and celebration. He’d done it! He’d actually done it! He’d won!

The Brazilian crowd in the stands were on their feet and absolutely deafening in their celebratory cheers. Massa was pumping his fists in his car and the Ferrari camp as well as his family were rejoicing in the pit garage. And then came the cruel twist of fate.

The crowd became eerily silent and the celebration for Massa stopped abruptly as they realized that Lewis had somehow finished in 5th position, ahead of Timo Glock. I just fell to the couch and stared at the TV in utter disbelief and confusion. It was like someone had a pulled a plug somewhere and my insides were rushing out through this huge gaping hole.

The look on the faces of Massa’s family and the silence that fell over the crowd when they realized Hamilton had finished ahead of Glock was heart-breaking. I was just like "WTH?!?! @#$%^!! NOOO!!! How could this happen?!? ARGGHH! GLOCK!! I AM GONNA KILL HIM!! Why?! WHY??"

It was unbelievable. Just absolutely bloody effing unbelievable. Somehow, by some miracle granted to Lewis, Glock had slowed his pace and let Lewis go ahead at the last turn just before the start/finish line. Oh God, Timo Glock, I will never ever forgive for you this. Ever. Lewis should just go bow down at Glock’s feet and become his personal slave for the rest of his life.

It had been Hamilton who was about to lose the championship until the tables turned a few seconds to the chequered flag and it was Massa who was to be fooled out of the win. Just a little bit more on Glock’s part and Massa would’ve won. I just felt so deflated. To come so close and yet have it snatched from you must be painful.

In fact, Massa was crying as he pulled his car up to the podium spaces. The poor, poor guy. It was just such a sad sight watching him look so defeated and disappointed. The Brazilian and Italian national anthems sounded over Interlagos and the confetti flew with a hollow feeling. And Kimi leaning over to console him on the podium was quite sweet.

Ah, Kimi. He played the best supporting role he could have possibly done, save actually just ramming his car into Hamilton’s (which I now really wish he had). He did a heck of a lot better than Heikki. And I think Alonso deserves a mention for being nice enough not to try and take on Massa during the race.

I never heard or saw Massa congratulate Hamilton though. Not surprised. I wouldn’t expect him to after everything he’s been through today. But maybe he did do it afterwards.

Well, there’s still next year, and the next. I kinda want both Kimi and Massa to win next year. Kimi because, well, the poor guy was so unlucky and didn’t really get a chance to defend his hard-fought and won championship at all this year. And Massa because he was even more unlucky and was so close and yet it was stolen from him.

Lewis Hamilton’s head is just gonna swell even bigger than it already is. I don’t even care anymore, I’m just gonna resort to down-right name-calling where he’s concerned. The stupid undeserving git.

So there, a disappointing and deflated end to a rocky season. Sigh. Guess everything can’t always go your way. Perhaps you could call it fate. Lewis was finally fated to win the championship. Lady Luck was on his side today in those last few seconds of the race, after she’d deserted him at this time last year. So why couldn’t she have done so again? Why??

Nonetheless, Massa won his home race and Ferrari won the constructor's championship. The driver’s championship is once again won and lost by a single point this year. Unbelievable. And this ultimate race was even more insane than last year’s. Poor Massa. So very close, yet still so far. “I want to show the world that I’m the best ever.” Hamilton before the race, arrogant as always.

I can’t quite believe Lewis actually won the championship. I can’t believe the season is really over. And I can’t wait for next season so Kimi and Massa can have another go at creaming Hamilton. Five whole months without Formula 1. How will I survive?

Anyway, I guess that’s that.

P/S: What was with the stupid saxophone music used to commemorate Lewis’ racing season? Sheesh.

Curls.

CURLS.

(Written on 2/11 @ approx. 7.15 pm)

I curled my hair on Friday :D And I’m still kind of on a high from it. It was just temporary though. I wanted to test and see if it looked good. And it’s decided: I am most definitely 100% curling my hair in December. Even though I have no idea how to jaga curly hair, I don’t care. Hair as fierce as this will make it all worth it.

Hang on, here are some pictures of it.

After I came home from the Mall. I’m wearing black, which actually hinders the ability to see my hair. Clever me.

Oh, my latest obsession: the iPod skins at http://www.decalgirl.com and http://www.gelaskins.com. I can’t get enough of them. They’re drop-dead gorgeous. And the best part? They’ve got 30 Seconds To Mars ones. Now that’s what I call a match made in heaven.

Yay, I am finally, finally going to make my donation to the Echelon House. It’s an international project Lily came up with that helps Habitat For Humanity through their Hopebuilders campaign, inspired by what 30 Seconds To Mars did to help Habitat For Humanity recently.

We — the Echelon and its family and friends — have funded the building of 7 houses around the world so far since June, and we’re currently on our 8th one. It’s snowballed into a bit of a worldwide phenomenon, really, with all the support from the band and HFH and the press. And of course, all the amazing people who contributed.

The only problem is that I can’t decide what I want to buy in exchange for my donation. It’s just like shopping, except all the money you spend goes to charity. Could it get any better?

So, um, the last Formula 1 race of the year is tonight. The most crucial, pivotal, decisive and nerve-wracking race of the season. I don’t know how I’m going to survive those two hours without pulling out all my hair and losing my mind.

Qualifying results were Massa 1st, Trulli 2nd, Kimi 3rd and Hamilton 4th (hyuk, hyuk). Awesome-ness, I call it. Lewis Hamilton, may everything go wrong for you (again) this weekend. And come on Massa, you can do it. All fingers and toes crossed.
