Pet Peeves
Itchy noses. Fuck em.
People who don't move into an open left hand lane to allow you easier access onto a highway. It's just polite.
When a light turns red at a four-way intersection with no one waiting to go the other direction.

The H word.
That time of the year is rolling around again. So the countdown begins, less than 2 weeks to D-Day. It came as quite a shock to me, after all, 2nd assessment test and holidays just ended, we haven't even gotten our test results yet (I know, wtf right?)...
The school has no right bombarding us with final exams! :(
And yet, they are. I keep blankly looking around and going "Shit, I can't believe it, where did the year go?!" There's only 3 months of it left! Fuuuuuuudge.
After screwing everything up very badly this year, I figure I'm closing in on the home stretch, so might as well make the lunge for the 30 yard line, right? Sorry for the football reference, if you don't get it.
It just means it's high time I got my butt into gear and stopped fooling around. I want to study my ass off and see it pay off.
And I really hate it when people proclaim to me that I don't need to study because I got 8A1's!! What do you think I am, magic?!? The 8A1s fall from the sky is it?! Or I conjured them up using a spell?!
Just because I got 8A1's doesn't mean I don't have to study. In fact, life after 8A1's is SO unglamorous! <=( LOL! 8A1's isn't a ticket to good results for the rest of my life. It just makes people expect more and more of you. Duh I have to study!
I wish I could say that the 8A1's makes me feel more assured, but in fact, I feel even more insecure and pressured. People say that once you're at the top, the only way to go is down. It takes a lot of effort for that not to happen.
Anyway, that also means another thing: I have to bid byebye to the internet until it's all done and dusted. Just telling you in advance that I'll be on a blogging HIATUS until exactly November 4th. So check back then!
It's time to pull the hugest kalok exam out of my butt yet. Wish me luck, guys. Have fun, and don't worry, I'll be back. Don't miss me too much! :D

All tied up.
For reasons I cannot yet reveal, I went hunting in my dad's closet for his ties last night! I knew they were there, I've seen them before... lots of 'em, in different colours and patterns.
I was hoping with crossed fingers that one of them would be pink...
But sadly, none of them were. Argh. I wonder why! My dad has always been very adventurous with colours, owning a few pink shirts. So why not ties?! :(
He had this same particular tie in three different colours: blue, brown and red!
I think this must be his most flamboyant tie: a flowery Nina Ricci one. (Nina Ricci?!)
Anyway, besides those, what I did find was a red one (close enough, I guess?) and a cool grey skinny tie. I never had my dad pegged as the type to wear skinny ties! And then I embarked on my first ever tie-tying experience.
I've never worn a tie before (shocker), so naturally I don't know how to tie one. But I've seen other people do it before, so with much gusto, I attempted to figure it out on my own.
After some time of struggling and failing terribly, I finally managed to produce something that looked like a tied tie! True, it was quite cacat but I'm pretty darn sure it's correct. Just needs some practice. Wasn't even that hard! Quite proud of myself, if I do say so.
I still stubbornly want a pink tie though. I can just imagine how chio it would be! I wonder if my dad would let me dye one of his ties a very lurid, fuchsia pink... After all, what he doesn't know, won't hurt ME! ;)
Still in the topic of ties, this would be called tie abuse :D
Behold, Nai Ping, my sexy beast, the nerdy hillbilly! He'll whack you with his broom if ya don't get offa his proberdy! HAHAHAHA!!
You shoulda seen when he tied the ties into a G-string. Mad hilarious! But then I guess it was painful and he chose to pursue the "nerd" look. End up looking like sibeh drunk hillbilly! And I just told him to pose, dunno why he go pick up the stupid broom and dustbin cover and grin like idiot. LOL!

My horrible Acuvue contact lens experience.
(Nabeh! My dad brought the digicam charger to KL with him so now I have the camera, but with a flat battery. And in the end, I'm still forced to take photos using my webcam T.T)
I admit to being a gullible person, okay. I'll believe advertisements if they're appealing and convincing enough. Which was why I ended up deciding to wear Acuvue contact lenses. Their website boasts a lot of excellent things about the lenses.
Honestly, the 3 days I spent wearing my Acuvue Clear contact lenses were pure torture! They were super uncomfortable and I could feel them in my eyes at all times. It was so itchy, strained to the point of hurting, and left my eyes feeling extremely tired.
After wearing it only 3 times, I gave up. I couldn't take it anymore! It was just too much agony! At the end of the day I looked like a pale corpse 'cause my eyes were so tired and lifeless. Curse you, Acuvue!! Luckily, I didn't buy them and felt little guilt in throwing them away so soon.
My new box of Bausch & Lomb Soflens came to the rescue! Now, Bausch & Lomb is a brand that doesn't really boast much about the qualities of their lenses on their website and so I was worried they'd be uncomfortable as well and then I'd really end up wasting my money.
But my long hours of worrying were for nothing!
It was sheer bliss and so amazingly comfortable! I really couldn't feel anything in my eyes at all, like I wasn't wearing contacts. I even unconsciously pressed my finger on the bridge of my nose a few times, pushing up my non-existent glasses, and also felt like falling asleep. Needless to say, my eyes felt orgasmic!
They weren't dry like how coloured contacts are. After 6 hours it was still really comfortable, like nothing was there. No pressure, no strain, no itchiness, no tiredness. Even in a cold aircon room with multiple fans blowing in my eyes, it was only slightly dry.
I fell in love with them right away, and now I finally know why all the Bausch & Lomb contact lens wearers are always so bright-eyed and bushy tailed! And I happen to be one of them! I couldn't be happier. Bausch & Lomb for the win!

New Google Chrome themes!
Was considering doing my contact lens post today, but that still needs to be worked on and I'm kind of pressed for time. I need to catch up on new episodes of Dollhouse and Smallville, and maybe some others already by now.
So, instead, I'll show you my new Google Chrome theme! Inspired by Jesnie who also showed off her's called Pocoyo on her blog.
Mine is hot pink with orange hearts and it's called Agatha Ruiz de la Prada (the name is so long, I know. Don't even bother trying to remember it. I can't). It's so chio!
Even my mom is using one of the new themes! Her's is called Matthew Williamson (must be the designer's name).
If you're a Google Chrome user, then lucky for you! They recently released a ton of really nice new themes. Hop on over to https://tools.google.com/chrome/intl/en/themes/index.html to pick a new theme for your Google Chrome browser.
Even if you don't use Google Chrome, just go and check out all the cool themes that it offers. I'm hoping it'll convince you lazy people/skeptics to switch to Google Chrome, because Chrome really is awesome!
This is what the webpage looks like on my hated Mozilla Firefox browser...
As you can see, there's even a fierce leopard print one made by Dolce & Gabbana! And themes from a lot of other famous fashion labels like Anna Sui, Vivienne Westwood, Donna Karan, Oscar de la Renta, Badgley Mischka, Kate Spade and Lilly Pulitzer, for all you fashion addicts.
But that's not all they have. There is definitely something for everyone. Plus there's also a handy link at the top to download the latest Google Chrome 3.0.195.3. So go!
Happy Chroming! :)

We were the KINGS AND QUEENS of promise.
I've been looking forward to this moment for as long as I can remember. And now it's here. 30 Seconds To Mars' new song, Kings and Queens premiered last night for the very first time on KROQ, a Californian radio station. I was at their website, listening to it stream live.
It's been years since I've heard any new Mars music and it was such a surreal experience, I couldn't believe it was really finally happening. I still don't know what to think of the song. The voice is familiar, but the music is so completely different.
For a moment, I was really thrown. But you know, I like it. I'm already going around humming the chorus. The chanting voices of the fans from the Summit at the end gives me goosebumps.
I'm familiarizing myself with the song that I'll be promoting shamelessly and endlessly, for the next God knows how many months. Then again, I'll have all the time in the world to listen to it over and over again once it comes out on iTunes, there's no rush.
The new album, This Is War, officially releases on December 8th and I feel like I'm about to piss my pants with anticipation. After hearing Kings and Queens, you just want more.
One of the future album covers, besides the Faces of Mars campaign where 2000 of the albums are going to have individual photos of fans and Echelon from around the world on the cover.
Imagine that, someone buying a 30 Seconds To Mars album with your face plastered on it. I don't think I'd ever be able to take a photo nice or worthy enough of that.
I took a closer look at the photos of the pervy lamp that I posted previously, and then I noticed something... on the table right next to the pervy lamp is a picture of Jesus and a cross! Sacrilegious max! Hahahaha!!
Thanks to a long discussion with Jia Yee about her birthday party next month during Physics practicals, I can't get it out of my head. I think I'll go pick potential outfits for it. Even though I already kinda know what I want to wear (so long in advance!). It's gonna be a pink fiasco, baby! :D
And I also have plans to watch me some new episodes of Dollhouse and Smallville tonight. Desperately trying to push all the nervous, worried and fearful thoughts about the fast-approaching exams out of my mind.
We got our exam timetables today. 'Nuff said.
I feel like changing my blog background. So tell me, are you bored of the pink and green yet?

I like fast cars.
I watched 2 Fast 2 Furious on DVD in high definition with surround sound for the thousandth time yesterday night! No matter how many countless times I've seen that movie over the past God knows how many years, it never ever gets old.
Suki's pink car is so chio!! What I would give to have a car like that in the future...
No idea what language this is.
I love it to death. The Fast and Furious series are among my all-time favourite movies. That might probably come as a shock to you (I don't only watch chick flicks okay!), but get used to it, a girl likes her fast cars and of course, Paul Walker ;)
If anybody has the first The Fast and the Furious DVD, hit me up. I'm dying to watch it again! And I have a sudden craving for action movies too. Love the adrenaline rush!
I came across my dad's The X-Files DVD and out of boredom, watched that too. I never really watched the show 'cause I was too young but I have a rough idea what it's about la. And I always thought Dana Scully was really pretty for some reason.
I also watched LOTR The Fellowship of the Ring in HD DVD with surround sound. I tell you, high definition movies are so orgasmic to watch! I should've watched it in KL 'cause anek Joe has the entire trilogy in HD surround sound DVD. It's called Penguasa Cincin in Malay, damn funny!
I've definitely watched it before 'cause I remember many parts vividly but I think I was too young, so I didn't really understand it till now. The movie is so long, 3 hours, and I lasted through 2 and a half hours before I fell asleep during the last 30 minutes. I wanna watch the other two movies, Two Towers and Return of the King... who has and is willing to lend to me??
The Elves' and Saruman's hair so sibeh rebonded man! Wakakaka.
I always had this notion in my mind that Aragorn was some sideline, unimportant character... but he's actually the fucking king of Gondor! Whoopsie.
And how come Liv Tyler (Arwen... I like the name!) is so horse-faced but can still be so pretty??
I so sim tiah today spending $25 on credit for my annual DST Easi fee. I could buy both the bag and purse I wanted from Padini with that amount of money!! That's how much of a bargain they were.
My thigh muscles so damn pain!! That's the last time I'm slutty dancing by myself in my house. I was imitating Emma Roberts' dance move from Wild Child (super cute movie, btw)... the part where she does that squatting thing. After a few times you feel like keeling over already! Never again!
I feel like throwing away my Acuvue contact lenses 'cause they're so uncomfortable and painful, but it's such a waste! People keep singing Bausch & Lomb's praises to me and I desperately want to crack open my own box and try them.
Omg, another thing anek Joe has is the pervy lamp!! I would totally buy it for Nai Ping/Melvin as a birthday present if I ever find it! The photos speak for themselves...
Turned off.
Turned on.
AHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Food and Formula 1.
If you thought I'd given up on blogging again, you were wrong. Here I am! I've just been really depressed and didn't feel like blogging the past few days. Wanna know why? It could potentially bore you, though.
The news is everywhere now that Fernando Alonso is moving to Ferrari next year, replacing Kimi Raikkonen, but when I first found out it was official, I started crying like crazy and I just couldn't stop.
It's so freaking heartbreaking!! No more Massa-Raikkonen partnership, no more Monza home race, no more Italian national anthem, no more shining red car and prancing horses, no more "Kimi Raikkonen's Ferrari"!
Instead Kimi's likely to become teammates with Lewis Hamilton in McLaren!!! Omg, just kill me now. I'm gonna be so confused as to which team/driver to support! It's gonna tear me apart. WHY GOD WHY???
When I was watching the qualifying yesterday and I saw Kimi's car roll out onto the Suzuka track in Q1 and Steve Slater said "the Ferrari of Kimi Raikkonen", I just started crying uncontrollably for such a long time. (Yes, I turn a manly, racing sport into an emo girly sobfest.)
Formula 1 as I've known and loved it for the past few years will be gone forever. I'm just gonna cherish the last 3 races of the season while Kimi is still at Ferrari to the fullest. At the end of the day, I actually hope McLaren will hire Kimi because I just don't want him to leave. I don't know what I'll do if I won't be able to see "K Raikkonen" or "1 RAI" on the score sheets anymore.
I have a habit of taking pictures of food, and they accumulate over time. I also realize you can look at a photo of food you've never eaten before taken with the highest quality DSLR to show all the textures and it still won't look as yummy as a photo of a food you know and like taken with a lousy camera.
So, in order of date...
Penang pasembur.
Green mint flavoured mooncake.
Glutinous nasi kunyit with curry chicken.
Cornetto chocolate ice-cream.
Alcohol chocolate. It's some super nice chocolate with rum liquid inside. The rum was fucking disgusting okay!!! Cb so bitter like what!! I almost wanted to die. Tasted like bloody cough mixture! I ended up rinsing out all the rum with water then just eating the plain milk chocolate.
Toasted oats.
KFC meltz and cheezy wedges!!! I did get to eat it again in Malaysia after all because of my extended holidays. So happy! It was so yummy. Although I could've sworn it shrank in size...
Homemade pizza.
Blackforest cake.
Seashell-shaped chocolates.
Colourful mooncake!
Pink mooncake!! With tau sar filling. So chio!
Beryll's praline chocolates.
P/S: I'm missing the Belalong people! Hope you guys are had fun in the jungles, secluded and cut off from the world, and I'll see you all on Monday! Boy, I miss reading Jia Yee's blog updates. And I hope Maria isn't throwing in the towel AGAIN!
P/P/S: I had the most wonderful dream ever on Friday!!! Until I didn't want to wake up till 4.30 pm. It was sooo nice!! Would love to have the same dream again.
