KOTD: The Purple Butterflies.

(KOTD - Konadicure Of The Day)

As promised, I'm showcasing photos of my latest Konadicure. I didn't really like it at first, but I'm in love with it now! I think it looks so professional and expensive looking :D So glad I'll never have to go to a nail salon ever!

Happily tweeted a ton while doing my nails, so I thought I'd post the tweets to save me having to explain all of it.  Plus, it introduces any of you Twitter illiterates to the wonderful world of tweeting!

I had major indecision issues about what colour I should use on my nails.

I obviously didn't see her tweet (now baru I realized it's because you typed @xxmarsarmygirl wrongly, Mar! :O), because then I asked again, more persistent this time.

And tweeted a threat as well, lol!

This was at 6.49 pm that I started my Konadicure. The last time my nails were painted purple was my sister's wedding :)

And finished it at 9.28 pm. Yes, I was watching super hilarious Rush Hour 3 while doing my nails.

I did some math and came up with this conclusion:
Is spending 3 hours purely on nails obsession psychosis dedication or what?? :D

Your wish is my command!

And now for the actual nails! Behold...

The Purple Butterflies

The five different nail polishes I used. You can more or less tell where each one goes.

The Konad image plates I used were...
#1 - M57

#2 - M36

I didn't come up with this Konadicure by myself, so I'm going to give credit where it's due.

My Konadicure was inspired by this one done by Kronicles of a Konader, which she calls Pretty Pretty Periwinkle.

And she herself got her inspiration from the wonderfully talented KonAddict!

Hope you liked it and until my next Konadicure, happy Konading! :)
(Lol, my blog is quickly turning into a Konad blog... siao.)

P/S: Hello December!

Happy birthday Jia Yee!

This special blog post is dedicated to a special girl on her special day. I've known her since kindergarten, but we only started being friends a few months ago and quickly became close best friends, sharing laughs and secrets and great times!

She coined my new nickname Stelly, loves widening her eyes at me and hates it when I read her blog archives.

She's got shining blue eyes, giant cheesy puffs and is short fun-sized!

She really doesn't like it when people underestimate her, but remember, don't have too high expectations either ;) Somewhere in the middle is good.

She sings and dances in the shower, doesn't wear her undies to sleep and has one buttcheek bigger than the other! :D

She loves anything cute and hates video games. And oh yeah, she's my partner in crime pink!

She is none other than JIA YEE a.ka. MICHSTER and today she is SIXTEEN years old! There are so many other things about her that I can't list them all here, but what I really want to say is...

HAPPY SWEET 16TH BIRTHDAY JIA YEE!!!

My my, aren't you all sexay and grown up? ;)

And may your birthday wish come true! ;)

Have a very happy birthday, Jia Wee!
Wove, Stelly :D

Konadicures!

I'm in KL now and it's time for an update on my Konad endeavours, a post which is in fact long overdue! Enjoy, and good luck in your own Konadicure adventures :)

The usual suspects are of course my trusty Konad kit.

#1 My party nails

These are the nails I did for Jia Yee's birthday party to match my red and black outfit :D

The image plate I used was M56 (borrowed from my sister, hehe).

The nails polishes used are...
Revlon Street Wear in Bride's Delight for the base.

Silkygirl Ever Glossy in Jet Black for the black french tip.
(I showed how to do a flawless french tip here)

Revlon Street Wear in Silver Mirror for the silver Konad design, with help from french tip stickers (my version being the wonderful reinforcement rings, duh).

Silkygirl High Gloss top coat.

#2 Jia Yee's birthday nails

I did a glittery gold and white Konadicure for Jia Yee that matched her birthday dress, specially for her sweet 16th birthday party. Even added princess crowns :)

The image plates I used were:
M63.
And M40 (another one borrowed from my sister).

Nail polishes used were:
Jia Yee's Konad Regular Polish in Solid Gold for the base.

The Face Shop Nail Color in OR204 which I painted over the gold base for the glittery effect.

Jia Yee's Konad Special Nail Polish in White for the Konad designs.

Silkygirl High Gloss top coat.

#3 My current nails - Fuchsia feline

Friends were telling me they liked the hot pink with black leopard print, so I thought I'd try it out, but it looked too plain, so I threw in the black french tip for good measure.

The image plate I used was M57.

The nail polishes I used were:
The Face Shop Nail Polish in PK105 for the base.

Silkygirl Ever Glossy Jet Black for the Konad design and the french tip.
(Again, french tip instructions here)

Silkygirl High Gloss top coat, as always.

Now I'm wondering what Konadicure I should do next! Mine is already in quite bad shape and getting boring. Had 'em for almost a week already.

Thinking of new Konadicures always gives me a headache, there are so many possibilities! Which is, I suppose, what makes it so fun :D
